~A few years ago I also got a very similiar email, said the puppy for his son's birthday. But each email he sent, had a different story for why he was purchasing a puppy. I finally came right out and asked if he was a puppymiller. Much to my surprise, he said "your right, sorry, i'm busted". In my opinion, if they use a middle man for pick-up and say they want to send extra money, its a SCAM. Glad you didn't let your friend do this.
