Before casting shame on my judgments perhaps you should do the responsible thing and research exactly where their puppies are born. I don't judge people by their race or religion, that convenient accusation holds no merit here. It is very well known by those in rescue, promoters of puppymill legislation, and most AR groups, just how the Amish or Mennonites treat their animals, I didn't make it up. Take ten minutes away from playing with your adorable little dog and google Amish puppymills, look at the pictures, read the horrifying stories, you don't have to take my word for it....look it up yourself. And finally...you're right.... "it is a FREE COUNTRY"....AND...along with freedom comes responsibility....personal responsibility for educating yourself further when you've been made aware. ![]() By your continuing glowing recommendation to others, you've just condemned more breeding dogs to a life of hell...so, go ahead and be "happy and proud", while others of us continue to fight for their freedom!!!

| ![]() New member, 2 posts, both in the defense of a Puppy Miller.....no room to guess what the motive is here.

Hi I bought a Full breed Lhasa Apso puppy from Hornings farm last year and she is the most beautiful and lovable, sweet dog i've ever had. she is very healthy I have never had a problem with her health. You have a choice of having a full breed or a mixed breed whatever you prefer. The family is Amish and they are very nice peole. The dogs are already registered with their first set of shots being given by them. I'm in the process of getting another one in a couple of weeks. I live in Baltimore and drove 3 hours to get her and she is well worth it. I think the price for the puppys is good too. ![]() | |

| ![]() No, too you're question I do not own a yorkie but my next door neighbor does and she also got her puppy from PA and it is very healthy. I just happended to see the web site and read the comments and thought I would give you some info about Hornings Farm. I do not believe they abuse the puppies I believe they are very well taken care of much more than at a pet store where they charge outrageous prices and alot of the times they are sick puppies. Stop being so negative and go visit. they do allow you to come and see the Farm and the puppies before you purchase anything. Do you no what you're getting when you go to the pet store or the aspca to get a pet? No you don't so don't judge every book by its cover. Before I went to get my dog I called and spoke to the owner and she assured me that all puppies came with a guarantee and before I decided on one I could come and see for myself. This will be the last time that I comment on this wedsite becasue I do not like the attitude behind the comments. |

![]() as for not judging a book by its cover, have you happened visited horning webite recently? at present they have... BichonPoo Boston Terrier Cockapoo Cavachon Dauchshund Goldendoodle Golden Retriever Labrador Retriever Lhasa Apso Lhasapoo Lhasa Yorki Maltichon Maltipoo Miniature Schnauzer Pekepoo PomChi Pomeranian Shichon Shih Tzu Yorki Lhasa avaiable now! and this place is supposed to impress us? i dont have any issue with people breedng mixes, as long as they put as much money, love, time and devotion into them as they would if they were breeding for the next show dog (i can dream cant i?) but they seem to simply be breeding (or bokering for the breeders who this statement is meant for) just for the heck of it- and for the money. there are many more popular mixes that are being 'developed' at present, and not many of their curent 'breeds' are those- its Just for money. so, with so many breeds there right now, we are expeted to believe that these puppies are as well bred and cared for as the puppies of our reputable breeders here? also, not to be rude, but do you think that by telling us you dont like our attitude will upset us and make us apologise and ask you to stay? you ar promoting a puppy mill, or sorry, puppy farm- which some in this thread seem to think is better... there is little difference between abuse and neglect, and the latter can often result in far more serious issues with yorkies, and many of the other breeds, so i'm pretty sure the YT community will keep their opinion of this place no matter how many new members tell us we have a bad attitude. but thanks for letting us know that our breeder reviews must be being seen and having an impact on the buisness of these mills- otherwise they wouldnt be being revived so much for new owners to post wonderful comments about the mill of their choice! so cheers for that karen! ![]()

![]() I would much rather have a dog, mixed or purbred, that came from an environment described above. One where the parents live indoors with the family, where they are taken to a vet facility, and the people take pride in producing QUALITY pups instead of Quantity. There's a big difference between those two words.

| ![]() LMAO I am so amused over this thread. I havent been on here in years but happened to be doing some browsing and found it again. For your information...I am NOT the owner...I dont work for them....I purchased my dog from them which I still have. You people make me sick. This is how misinformation and negative things are started because idiots like you ASSUME to know something and make posts saying you know its true and then all the rest of the idiots fall in line and believe you. Next time CHECK YOUR FACTS before you post. Deleting this website after this post because obviousily anything can be posted here and you cant trust what is being said. |

| ![]() This is a huge shot in the dark but I came across this thread and I think it may be my only hope to solve this mystery. I recently visited hornings farm, and purchased 2 Siberian husky puppies. Before everyone gets on me about how you shouldn't support puppy mills I am aware that it's wrong but after seeing them stuffed into a tiny cage I couldn't leave them there. We brought them home, dirty and starving, but rescued from the conditions there. They are currently battling parasites, and some aggression issues and we are having a tough time with both of them. They are brother and sister, and we know now that there were 5 of them. 3 boys and 2 girls. If anyone knows who may have purchased the others or is an owner of one of the others, I would love to speak with them about their puppies. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!! |
