She isnt really feeding them..... What signs etc should I watch for with the puppies? |
Also, "Wookie Man"'s pups look more brown (more like Yorkies) and have more hair than Chloes. Is there something I should be concerned about? |

The puppies do look premature... do the have any hair at all? I can't even see their ears..... Congratuations... best of luck with them! |
I can feel their hair if I rub my hand up and down them. Their eyes are folded over, tiny little things.........:( |
Can you do a real close picture of one of them? Are they nursing OK? |
Yeah, I will take a few. Not really nursing - just laying there. Every once in a while they will pick their heads up, in an effort to look for milk. |
Should I contact the vet? |
Do you have any nutri-drops...? You should try to latch them on to mom... gently pry open their mouths near her teats.... you can put spit on the teat... I really don't think they should all be on their sides like that in the picture you posted of them... |
you need to get them latched on...do their tummies look nice and round...if not themn they really need to nurse...you may have to supplement them...as for the eyes i dont know...but some dont have much hair at first sometimes...if you are scared....call the vet...they can tell you lots without you having to tke them in...and if they think you need to they can tell you that too |

to the OP: how far along was she? |
I would... regardless of if they are premature or not... (which I think they are)... they have to nurse... whether from mom.... or you supplementing them. See what the vet has to say.... let us know... |
Okay, well from the date of the only tie that was witnessed - it was only 55 days today. |

The pups look 'wet' still, maybe they are preemies. I would call the vet but I would be hesitant to take them out unless it's necessary. You really need to have some Nutri-Drops. Can you get them locally or does your vet have something? Make sure they stay warm. You should have the room around 78 degrees with a heating pad on. |
I am on the phone with the vet now. The room is really warm - I keep trying to get them to nurse, but Chloe licks them so hard they fall off of her nipple. |

I haven't seen newborns that look that "wet", this long after the birth. Good luck with the Vet!! Keep us posted!! |
The vet says to supplement. And if they arent feeding, etc by the morning to bring them in. She also said to get them to nurse if possible. |

Try to get the biggest one to nurse first. If any can, that will be the one. You may need to supplement and if they're preemies you'll not want to wait as long to get them to eat as you might with full term pups. Have you checked Chloe to see if her milk has come in? If not, pull and squeeze on a nipple, on one of the biggest teats, to see if she has milk. |
I wish I lived closer... I'd help you out.... Are they all breathing OK?... I noticed in the pictures their mouths are open.... Good luck and please keep us updated. |

I have to get a better nipple thing, but 3 out of 4 seemed to take some of the supplement. The one was really good! How much should I give them? OR, as much as possible?? |
Milk I saw a teeny tiny bit come out of her two lowest ones (they were the biggest, so I tried them first). |

Still try to get them to nurse on Chloe. |
Get their tummy full but not bloated. You may need to gently 'burp' them. Keep trying to get them to nurse. It's their sucking action that will draw the milk down. They may need to eat every couple hours if they don't nurse. |
Just logging on for the day...wow, your day started early according to the time on your post!! hehe congratulations to you!!! |
