Sorry Grandpa!!! Congratulations. I am so excited for both of you with the whelping mothers. I think it's wonderful they let you have a good nights sleep..lol |
Not really a good night's sleep. I was up late last night til 3:00 A.M. and then I slept very light 'cause I knew the pups were coming. I've been up since 7. I think that 3rd cup of coffee did the trick tho. |
Yeah I know - me too! I kept waking up all night long just waiting for it to happen. I set my alarm to wake up every few hours, but I guess we both didnt need an alarm early this morning. Congrats on the boys!!! June 30th - what a great day! |
Well, they just keep us going all the time don't they???? I will definitely keep my fingers crossed you sleep well tonight...ALTHOUGH, I still kept getting up to check on them. Coffee has to be one of the greatest things in the whole world. |
Another boy!!! This one's only 3.7 oz |
Wow!! So, I am a novice at this. Not sure - I just think they all look like boys :) Any helpful hints to differentiate? |
Congratulations. I hope she' done. She must be exhusted going all night long. Three boys so far, how many where you expecting? |
WOW!!!! Now we have a girl!! 2.7 oz |

The best way for me to describe is girls have nothing on their bellies only between their legs. Do you think she'll have any more Grandpa??? |
The boy would have his penis in the middle of his belly, nothing by his tail. The girl would have something down by the tail. |
How is Chloe doing? Any signs of the 4th one yet? |
Pearl may be done. I felt a hard lump a minute ago. May have been a head or maybe it's just her uterus. With the last one being so small, any more would probably be little like that so it's hard to tell. |
What an exciting morning! Back to back births! Congratulations to you both! |
Help HELP.... Chloe looked like she had to go to the bathroom so I let her go outside. She spit up then out came a puppy partially She ran into the kitchen, dropped it on the floor and ran upstairs. I picked it up with a trashbag, brought it up stairs, ripped the sac off, aspirated. Chloe chewed her way through the cord. BUT I think she chewed a bit too much - no cord on the pup and her tummy is bleeding. She is also very small and has whitish spot on her chest, like she isnt fully developed. Should I try to supplement her!?!? |
Is there any at all that you can sqweeze to stop the bleeding? Is it a white spot or a thin spot like not fully developed? |
Any what? Not really......its really down to her tummy. Chloe keeps licking that area where its bleeding though |
Okay....stay calm...is it bleeding alot? Is there any cord there that you can squeeze or tie off for a little while till the bleeding stops? |
If she's bleeding a lot and you can't clamp it, you'll need to get it to clot. I've never had that happen before. Maybe try a small square of tape just big enough to cover the area. You'll have to get her away from mom to clot it. Don't let the baby get cold. |
Okay, she is on the heating pad between all the other pups. Chloe keeps licking the blood - at times it looks like it is stopping. It looks like she isnt fully formed - like there is white and it looks like the black was supposed to cover that area (if that makes sense) but it didnt. Should I try to feed the little one with supplement? |
dont worry about the white spot...mommy or daddy could have been a whit gene carrier or even a pie bald gene carrier(biewer)...nothing to worry about |
I wouldn't rush the feeding. Be prepared that if she isn't fully developed, she may not make it. But you can still try to stop the bleeding as Woogie Man suggested. |
White is ok..some have it..is the head black? You must stop the bleeding on the cord. There is nothing left? |
Sounds like mom is busy with her right now. If she's getting the bleeding to stop, don't interrupt her. What supplement do you have? |
Well, I think they are all boys - but Im just not sure. Chloe is still messing with her - the same as the others now. I put a piece of tape over the wound to stop the bleeding. Chloe didnt take it off, so I am going to leave it. The little ones head is black. everything except a weird patch right under its chin/chest. Esbilac - or however its spelled. |
sounds like she is fine to me.....so now we need pictures!!!!!!!!please! |
feeding Don't rush it. They will cry if they are hungry, just keep them warm. They need moms milk before any formulas, if you have Nutridrops you could put a drop on each pups tongue. |
If the baby can nurse, you shouldn't need esbilac. I have Nutri-drops here but will wait a while and give the babies a drop when things settle down. I've already given Mom some. |
