My "Pet Quality" Pure Bred AKC Yorkies male and females 1 male and 4 females went for less then $600.00 each. (And by the way none that I have adopted out for money was over the 7lb. AKC Limit & still isn't at ages almost 1 and ages 2)

I as a breeders want to do things the right way but providing their AKC papers which mine are marked limited and they do receive them when I receive proof of their puppies spay/nuetor. Now it is up to the adopted parent if they send those papers in our not to get them Registered. Lee

Not if you put in your contract that those Pet Quality puppies come back to you and not go to shelters or anyone else if they leave the homes of the original adoptive parents. This is what I do to protect my puppies and keep them safe. Lee

It's a bit of a "question of ethics" around here...

Personally, I love the mixes as well.... "to each her own"

I have no problem w/ mixes.. if they are adopted/rescued from a shelter or rescue. I have 4 various mixes at my house that i love very much. however, i think it does a great disservice to all the breeds when mixes are purposely breed. There are MILLIONS of mixes dying in shelters each year..yes, including yorkie mixes. My Schatzie (yorkie/chi) mix was scheduled to be killed the day I adopted her, she had been there a couple weeks with NO interest... and she was a young (btwn 9mnths and year), small, healthy, 'designer' mix, with no behavior problems.

I have no problems with people who adopt these mixes, but you better believe I have major problems with people who breed them!

IMO two altered pet quality pups don't contribute since they can't reproduce.

Selling two unaltered pets could potentially add significantly, and selling two unaltered pets from poor lines, could also add significantly to the number of non-standard yorkies out there.

This is no doubt where it all goes south...but MARC..your girls is a nice pet, but she is what breeders call a "RED LEGS" IMO.. some breeders are fine using that type for breeding, but it is NOT a good quality to reproduce and 95% avoid them in their breeding program...I cast no stones on those who do, I am sure I have made choices some breeders disagree with also....

no papers is a huge stumbling block to an ethical breeder..BUT this is your dog, to do you as you please, without anyone here passing judgement...the type of label you want as a breeder is a free choice..best wishes

PS....I have seen a number of ALL CHAMPION litters...
The term pet quality and show quality is certainly a debatable label...I see lots of show quality as S/N pets...remember, not all of us want our pups spending their life in a show kennel, even though I had one myself..

Can I ask what "Red Legs" are??? I've never heard that term before can you please tell me so I will know what it means. Thanks Lee
