I read something about this the other day but I believe they had to take the dog to the vet as soon as they could get in? How is she doing, I am sorry you had to go to work. I hope everything is fine when you get home.

Today is Gina's due date but don't see any signs of labor. She is eating and actually more active then she has been. Her temp is 99.0. I really hoping for tonight or tomorrow morning. I'm expecting people over on Sunday and I expected to have puppies before then. My luck she will have them Saturday night into Sunday morning and I will be walking around with toothpicks in my eyes while everyone is here. Thank god its family. I'm sure they will understand. Isnt that the way it always is. Ha Ha. Lacey Bug decided to whelp on her 59th day. She was the first one of my girl to ever whelp early. Always on the 62-63 day. Good luck and Hope you enjoy your family on Sunday. Keep those tooth picks handy. Sounds like you may need them.

Ritzie had her puppies a little sooner than expected. At 4:00AM she had the first one in my bed. It was pretty gross. She obvious didn't know what to do so I had to tear the sack and everything. After about 2 hours she finally decided she would accept the puppy. At 10:30am she had her 2nd and last I had to assist her a little, she was having a hard time pushing her completely out. Then she licked the bad twice and went back to her the first puppy so again I had to tear the sack and do the rest. She is now tending to both her little girls. YIPPEE I am a grandma!!! This was her first litter and I think she is going to be a good mom. I will post pictures later. Thanks to Yorkie I learned alot and knew what to do with the babies. Good luck to the rest of yall that are having puppies!

Congratulations on the birth of your 2 little girls. How much did they weight? I'm happy to hear everything went ok.

Kandie's babies are getting their tails docked. I know it has to be done, but poor babies. :eek:

Angel and pups to vet today
 

I took everyone to the vet , Angel laid in her basket with the pups just awaiting the vet to tend to them, all tolerated the procedure well. Not all the puppies even had dewclaws, no complications. I had taken in a fecal sample just to make sure and it was negative, out my mind to ease.
I had them look into her ears again. she doesn't have an ear infection nor mites but she is scratching her ears like there is no tomorrow at times. I have ear wash and cotton balls. I almost have to do it daily to get her some relief.
any one ever had a dog just have problems with their ears building up too much wax etc.

Good luck to all those who are expecting Puppies.They are so cute I work at home and I can just watch them all day long it is so nice.

Hello Everyone,

Gina is still hanging in. I thought she was going to have them this morning. She was nesting and breathing a little heavier than usual. Took her temp and it was back up to 100.0. She already had breakfast and lunch and seems to be resting comfortable. She was bred twice, once on the 21st (March)her 10th day and again on the 24th (23rd was Easter)her 13th day so just maybe she didn't take the first tie. They were tied for 15 minutes the first time and 20 minutes the second. If that is the case than her due date could be the 26th. I hope tonight, tonight, tonight. I can't take the suspense! Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far.

Thanks for the update Barbara. Looks like we will be "rooting" for Gina on Memorial Day. Glad she is doing alright. Have a nice weekend yourself.
