WE have had singletons, free whelped and a section,my vet was gone and had to take her in to another vet labor started no contractions, I wanted a shot of oxy to try to get her going ,they came out about 20 min later and said they did not give a shot but took her in for a section:eek: I was furious the pup was only 3oz she could of had it just fine.My vet agreed they should of tried a shot first I think they just wanted the money,we will never go there again needless to say.(sinlgetons can get very large inside utero) So I am curious what happend with Lexi and to why she needed a section.Praying both turn out just fine |
Just saw on another thread that Lexi had a little girl, 4 oz. She was spayed as this was her second c-section, and they will be coming home, but don't know when. Anyway, good news! |
Thank goodness everybody is okay = ) It seems this has been a tough month for whelping :ghug: |

Congrats!!! WOW, lots of puppies born all of a sudden!!!! Congrats to all the new furmommies!!!!!!!!!! I am still patiently waiting for my little ones to make their arrival! Should be soon! She is due on the 15th and I am so anxious!!! I can feel them all kicking around and it just makes me want to see them so bad! :D |
thanks everyone for all the great support for these few last days. I don't think I could have gotten through them without all of you. Lexie is fine, I go pick her up around 3 today, the baby is great. She has been in labor for awhile, or I should say having contractions, but this morning when she had a greenish-tan goo all over her, I rushed her to the vet, he was afraid it could be bad, it wasn't as bad as we thought, just the lining he said:confused: sounds bad to me, anyway at the time he did a examine, he was afraid that birth canal wasn't going to get any bigger for the baby, so I opt for a c and had her spayed. The last time he said the samething, but before she got pregnant again he examine her and said she should be okay. So thats what happen to little Lexie Lulu, but she is doing great, I got to stay and go back and watch and help through the whole thing:) |

Ruby is groaning around here too. She is due 17th. Just had a little scare with some discharge, but all is okay. Goodness there is a lot going on around here. (Coco at vet with fractured tooth -- having it removed right now). |
Need Advice Ruby due 4/17. Has been leaking for some time (several days), last night had mucousy greenish stools, up several times in the night, more this a.m. Thought she had bloody discharge but cleaned her up and thought I was mistaken. Just found a blob of thick thick mucous that was rusty colored red. Nothing leaking now.... What do you think?? |

I think thats a bit too early.. Are you sure of the date? No puppies yet Miss Ruby...no no~! This is only the 9th...8 days to go... had to correct this..sorry |

Okay, so we went to the vet with Ruby. They checked all the hearts with ultrasound, and did x-ray also. We have FIVE puppies, and she has gained 4 lbs. - she is 10 lbs. now! Still a little bloody show, but not much. The vet says all looks good, but of course still to early to be born. She goes out the dog door, but can't get back in so she stands outside and pushes the flap up and down until we let her in the patio door. She just tried to jump on the couch and fell backwards. Too bottom heavy. Nothing we can do but wait it out and hope for the best. She is panting a lot, but still eating and not nesting yet. (Coco came home from having fractured tooth removed and she is just as needy as Ruby, but doing okay). Lots of excitement at our house. This has been a rough April for puppies. |
How much bigger can she get! 3 Attachment(s) :D :D :D I really started to feel the puppies movin around this past Sunday. She isn't showing any signs yet (which is good). But, I have a feeling this weekend we might have puppies. The poor girl can barely walk! I took these pictures while on the computer... she has been laying at my feet all day despite me trying to get her to lay on a bed where it is more comfortable  |

5 !!! Yay~!!!! Cool beans! Dont let her jump off and on couches and beds. Or run around outside tooooo much...(like she can...lol) We dont want puppies yet. Glad the vet checked her over I hope Coco feels better now :) |
Funny I haven't been getting alerts on this thread either... maybe because it is GIANT!!!! |
Awwwwww poor thing Quote:
She sounds just like Nala...laying right here at my feet. She groans when she walks...or even moves on the floor. She is HUGE, Now this is just me...and I havent had many litter but I always feel them moving when theres a week to go. Yay...more puppies coming~! |
Quote:
I always see right when it comes in. And if I'm not busy or gone, I always try to check the thread real quick. Thats weird...huh? |

I think she is HUGE! Her first litter she only had 2 puppies, but this time the vet thinks 4-5 (she said ones could be hiding or they were so wiggly that maybe she counted one twice ;) ) I just love laying in bed with her and feeling her puppies... it makes me think of my babies. She groans a lot lately and I can tell she isn't comfortable when she is moving around trying to find a good spot. I feel bad that I kicked her out of bed... but I am worried she will jump off... it is really high up for her! So she is in the whelping box next to my bed. She seems to like it. The waiting is killing me... but it helps to watch everybody else and hear their stories. I feel more prepared everyday :D |
nope I have been updating like every 1/2 hour for two weeks! |
Not weird at all. I'm at a dinner party in the neighborhood and ran home to check on Ruby and Coco. Checked my mail too...Ha! Just want to know what is going on.... |

Remember how I went out to just give eggs and came back in with Allie having pups on the couch... Anywho.... As far as the updates via email. I remember now this happened once before and I had to go to the THREAD TOOLS on the top... Unsubscribe ...come back and resubscribe to the thread. We've had so many posts here. And I think maybe it only sends so many emails. Because I still haven't gotten the ones just posted by all of us in my email. Going to do that now. |
