Now can I have a double!! :) |
I just came in from work..WOW!! Think I'll join you for that double.. Suddenly seen the light and the error of her ways...maybe...maybe not. Something tells me these poor Yorkies need to be bred like they need to be left outside...NOT AT ALL!! Can you imagine, poor little guy matted to the skin. Can't help but wonder if they need to be rescued again and the "breeder" she bought them from also reported.. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!! |

I really hope this person is telling the truth, but if she is, then I applaud her for being able to take the constructive (and not so constructive) criticism. |
I honestly hope you'll have them spayed and neutered and stay out of breeding . |

If you truly came here for advice, you got it. ;) Most of what I've learned about breeding (including the fact that I would never ever ever be knowledgable enough to do it), I learned right here on YT. If one thread is all it took to change your mind completely on where you will keep the little ones, kudos to you!! If not, please please listen to the good advice and explanations here. If the wise people here can also advise you on the appropriateness of breeding these pups, your new babies will thank you for the rest of their lives. You will be welcomed and supported here if you truly keep the dogs' best interest at heart. |
I didnt have time to read through all of this, so sorry if repetitive. Please, I dont know if you have ever owned yorkies, but they are definately not outdoor dogs; even if they were kenneled outdoors before! Yorkies are very fragile dogs and so much more goes into breeding them than you can even know just buying breeding pairs and not having done research. If people have kennels heated and cooled for there dogs that is one thing (I wouldnt), but please, DO NOT keep these animals outside! |

Yikes!! |
What did you get Can you post some pictures and descriptions or your Yorkies? What age are they? How many litters have they had, etc. You need to set up something for them INSIDE the house. Even if they were kept outside all of their lives does not make it right. You can make it right by being their hero and giving them what they never had and you will learn a lot along the way too. If you are not willing to bring them inside, you do not have what it takes (love of dogs). They probably need to all go to the vet and get treated for various things. Fleas, worms, etc. and get them up to date on their shots. Please don't think of your dogs as "breeders." That is such a big mistake. Dogs are man's best friend and we have to treat them like our best friends. Give them shelter, warmth and love! There are many things that dogs need to be happy and it is your responsibility to make them happy now that you have them. If you do all these things, you wil be rewarded, not only by your dogs. You will earn the respect of other breeders who you reached out to by posting on this site and you will get help too. One thing that strikes me hypocritical, however, is how so many (not all but many) breeders on here sell entire litters of puppies. What is the purpose of that breeding if you sell them all at 12 weeks? I would think $$$$$. Please tell me why else would a breeder sell an entire litter. Personally, I don't care but then they SCREAM about someone who is daring to say it out loud. Hmmm. |
Plus, I was wondering if you've every had a tiny yorkie baby. They are so fragile, tiny, cannot retain their own heat. My girl is 16 wks old and I cannot even take her outside yet because she shivers violently. We are currently using pee pads in the kitchen. |

MONEY what money I am always in the hole. OP If you do this for money I really want to tell you there is none. You have to breed for the love of it and just the joy of knowing you have brought joy and happiness to people who have been searching for happy healthy Yorkie puppies. |
Come on everyone, she said she brought them in. No one knows if she did or not because we aren't there, so give her the benefit of the doubt. Please let's be positive so we don't run her off. There's so much information here. I'd hate for her to not get the information she needs for those babies just because some people are still posting negatively. What good does it do to accuse or insinuate that the still has them outside? It doesn't change the situation at all... |

Honestly, considering the information she gave about her situation and the condition of these dogs, the responses that she has gotten have been very MILD and everyone has been very good about keeping their responses calm, all things considered... |

Once again thanks! I finally finished all their baths last night and boy was that a job! They enjoyed it so much!!!! They are going for their first vet visit tomorrow and getting groomed!!! I have taken pictures but have to get them developed first so I can scan them on!!! Can't wait until you guys can see them! They haven't been bred that much at all! My oldest Fancy, is 3 and been bred twice...the other two are sisters and they have been bred only once each. My male is 6lbs. and my females are 6lbs and 7 lbs. They are precious. |
