I got my babies back last night and they got a wonderful report!! Fancy has tartar mildly. But other than that everything was perfecT! Woody was the only that got groomed because I can do the others myself....he was terrible! I didn't even know which dog was mine he looked so different!!! She had to cut him very short because he was so matted! I have to still go get my pictures developed and scanned before I can post any and It might be after the weekend but I will definatly get them on here!! We had really bad storms last night and boy they didn't like that at all!!! |
Great to hear the vet went well and your little guy is all groomed and pretty!! How are they adjusting to being inside? cant wait to see the pics!! |
Iam glad your babies have been vetted and groomed and are doing okay. I cant wait to see pictures |

I agree. They'll all need to have their knees xrayed for luxating patellas, have bile acids tests done for liver disease, thyroid panels, and eye exams before even being considered for breeding. Otherwise you could end up losing a lot of money in refunds, vet bills or even lawsuits if they produce puppies with genetic conditions. Did you know that Yorkies are thirty-six times more likely to have liver shunts than all other breeds combined? Surgery for a shunt can run $5,000 if it is even operable. You need to learn a lot about the background of these dogs from their former owner before breeding them as even if they test free of liver disease, they can still produce puppies with a shunt or MVD. |
has no one heard anymore? no pictures? wow guess we will never know |

I told everyone that I would have to go to walmart and get my pictures developed and then scanned before I could get them on here....I haven't even had time to think about a picture with two children(2 and 1) and 5 dogs! So...when I get time ya'll will be the first to see them! |

and i thank the lord above mine are raised and i just babysit when needed no way would i raise yorkies and babies it would be like having 7 or 8 demanding kid's |
First of all that is where I draw the line! You can keep your comments to yourself about me raising my children!! I do a damn good job and I don't need anyone telling me that I need to raise my children before I do a dog! You don't know me so therefore you have no right to say anything abou tme raising my children. you want a heated debate that will get you one right there! There is no need in that! I don't think you would want anyone to say anything to you about you raising your children, that is if you have children....me having dogs does not hinder me from raising my children...I quit my job to come home and raise my children so noone else would have to(daycares) So I think I am doing a fine job, Thanks |

I just thought I would butt in at this point and say that I'm only 23, with NO children, and I'm tired after a day of caring for my babies...it's a full time job PLUS...if you do it right it's a lot more work than most people think. If you calculate your time and the money you make I think most people come out either making a few cents an hour or in the negative. I couldn't imagine having young children and starting out new to breeding with that many breeding females... |

Again, the post wasn't about you not being able to raise your kids "RIGHT" it was about raising "PUPPIES" right! |

   12 weeks of raising puppies and putting all your time and effort into them is a full time job in it's self i personally could not devote the time i do to my furbabies if i was still raising skin babies some all niters with a sick pup can be just as stress full as a baby with flu it's the point that they can talk and a fading puppy can't |
I also have to butt in here :) and say that I do completely understand the OP's feelings. To assume that a person can't have a litter of puppies and children at the same time, and care for both adequately....especially without knowing that person personally....is just too presumptuous (sp?). I do understand where you are coming from, it is true that both are demanding. But untrue that you can't do both adequately at once. Now, I'm not saying that the OP can or can't do it. I'm just saying that none of us know if she can or not. Just MHO. :) |
And not to mention that I have an amazing husband that helps also....if I am busy with the children at night if one of the yorkies needs attention...my husbands tends to that vis versa! Nothing is being neglected at my house, not my chidren or any of my pups. And who are any of you to say if they are or aren't NOBODY!!!!!!!!! I'm so gald that I am the topic of your conversations for the day...so glad that you spend all of your spare time thinking if my children or pups are being taken care, in the long run everyone is taken care of and your still sitting here debating whether that is true are not...bless your little hearts get up and clean up your dogs poop !!! |

Again, if things are being done correctly why get angry? If you know you are doing right then no need to get upset. I'm still not upset just stating my opinion :) Donna Bird Brooklynn's Yorkshire Terriers |

I believe the nobodies were the same people whose opinion you sought. Remember sometimes when you ask for opinions it may not be ones you agree with. |

I think its way overdue time to close this thread. Those dogs could have been bought by a much worse breeder who went about breeding them the way the previous owner did, outside and with little knowledge, but instead she came on here asking our opinion and despite many rude remarks she took the advise and brought them inside days ago after what sounded like only a few hours outside on a nice day. Now that that's been done there is no reason to keep this thread open. I don't agree with breeding either when you have young kids but that’s for the OP to decide and find out how hard it is and if she wants to continue. |

By all means, please keep educating. I'm a lurker more than a poster and I've learned some very educated advice here, but I prefer the softer approach than the know-it-all approach. I think it's a step in the right direction for anyone to come to YT asking questions. I wish I could stop all the bad breeders, but if I can't stop them, I'll try to better educate them. You show dogs and I have 4 kids and 8 g-kids. That does not mean that you are the best dog exhibitor no more than it means that I'm the best mother or g-mother. We are all here to learn and let learn! |
