| If there was a pup and it has or is being reabsorbed there could be a discharge. There would be signs of pregnancy in the beginning including weight gain which would suddenly cease. Weight would slowly begin to decrease and signs of pregnancy would disappear. My gal had a clear discharge and her vulva and mammory glands stayed swollen for quite some time. Watch for elevated temp and a foul smell to the discharge as this would indicate infection.

The discharge doesn't smell foul ~ kinda of sweet????? It seems to come and go. Last night it tapered off but is back this morning... maybe because she is up and moving more? Will keep an eye on temp. hold on a minute. Just took it - it's only 99.9 this morning!

| YT Graphic Artist Donating Member | This happened to me. I was told by the vet that an X-Ray should be done after she is at least 5 weeks along. So, I waited until she was 6 weeks (42 days) and the X-Ray showed no puppies. Well, I just knew she was pregnant, as she had all the signs. Anyway, sure enough, she delivered 4 puppies on day 58. I guess I should have waited until about day 55 or so, but I was going by what the vet had said. After the fact, the vet said that sometimes the skeletons are "soft" and cannot be seen by X-Ray until they are almost ready to deliver. It would have been nice for him to tell me that in the beginning, as this was my first litter. Good luck to you!

| That's a pre-whelping temp (for the last week). Keep taking temps like looking out for rises and dips. Hope for the best, be prepared for the worse. |

| She really does not look it in the lastest pics...she was so filled out in the last ones....by 8 weeks you should see movement. I can not recall a singleton pregnancy that did not show at least a small buldge and movement at this stage. Anything is possible, so I would just watch her until the end... |

| If she had any puppies that have been paritialy reabsorbed or died for some reason she still may go into labor and deliver what is left of any fetus...Any puppies that may have died before they calcified will not show up on an xray and it would be difficult to see on an ultrasound if fluid around puppies has diminished...You will want to keep a very close eye on her for any signs of infection or labor...Keep taking her temp...Any temp above 103 call your vet!...A normal temp is 101.5...A normal pregnancy temp on average is 99-100...Most will have a two degree drop, 97-98, and stay there for 12-24 hours..It is not until the temp goes back to normal will stage 2 labor begin... ~Laura

| It's a Yorkie Thing Donating Member | Hello, sorry to worry you... I spent most of the weekend with Lacie and I'm 99.9% sure she is NOT having any puppies. Her temp went down, then up to normal, then down. and the discharge came and went and came again. And she nested with her hide a squirrel, but I don't think she's PG!!! She seems less restless this week, so maybe she is figuring it out. It is now five days past her due date. I want to thank everyone for your help and concern. Sorry it took so long to post, my computer is acting up and I'm posting from work on my lunch break.
