i've read almost every post in this thread. Sounds like most of the other threads debating about parti's, standards, and biewers. There was a question posted on the first page about temperament that i am interested in. Do parti's have a temperament like a yorkie or like a biewer? i have noticed that biewers and yorkies are slightly different because morgan's breeder had both. Morgan's is a splitter in fact and i believe she is more like a biewer personality wise and i LOVE it. I think the personality difference is part of what makes them a different breed even tho they did originally come from two standard yorkies. Another question for the parti breeders. Do you guys want to make parti's a completely separate breed from yorkies and biewers? Why not work towards making parti's have the color patterns and standards of biewers? Are they different in any other way besides set color patterns? |

:( From looking at her past posts anyway. |
I am not pointing any fingers, just making an observation. Seems like people just love to bash the very thing that makes the Yorkie such a wonderful dog with such a beautiful color with the conformation that we all love. If it werent for these dedicated show breeders, old and new, that have walked the walk and not just talked the talk, the Yorkie would not be in existance today. I give kudos to the Biewer breeders for trying to start their own breed separate from the Yorkie. I do not believe for one second that it was from a spontaeous mutation or hidden recessive genes, etc, that they were created, but at least they have the get up n go to get their dogs a registry and go from there. They just dont sit around and bash the YTCA. If you dont like the standard, move on. |
To the original question: I think there are a few nice breeders of parti color Yorkies on YT. I think pinehaven has them. |

When I said that it would be good for some of the them, I was not talking about you. I like reading your input and respect your advice and opinions. I also appreciate the way that you always find a nice way of stating things. Tammy |

I would like you to understand that YTCA and other exhibitor breeders have put alot of effort into what they have done with their lines....They are old time yorkie purest that have put alot of the heart and soul into the breed.....alot of years....so, I'm sure that when you have done the same doing what you are doing you will feel the same way they do about the yorkie standard. What is the yorkie today took over a century to develop.... |

So are you saying they are Done developing the breed now? Or are they still trying to perfect the breed/ lines? I respect what you and the YTCA are doing. I just feel that they are too close minded. Maybe they should help the breeders of Parti's instead of trying to hinder them. It could be a benefit to all Party's involved |

Seriously, to all who have posted, I have been following this from the beginning (don't know much about Biewers and/or Parti's and so don't have anything to contribute) and just wanted to say how much I have appreciated all the great information from BOTH sides. This is a subject I have been wanting to investigate, just haven't had the time to delve into it. |
JeanieK, all you have to do is look what the byb's and mills are pumping out to see how the breed is being ruined. They, eveidentally, dont care about the standard. |

I believe you feel the YTCA is closed mined because they are not in agreement with what is being done with the Parti...... |

I am not say all of them are;) But some seem that way. |

We have worked diligently to keep the breed seperate, so that it could stand on its own merits. We breed exclusivley Biewer to Biewer Only. And that is also a strict rule in the Breed Club that I belong to the BBCI. The YTCA has a very strict mandate and has worked hard to keep the "fault" colored yorkies out of the ring. I do know that the AKC will not accept a variation of a breed already in existence. And certainly not without the Breed Clubs blessings (YTCA). So I can see your dilemma. Personally, I did so much research on the Biewers before getting involved with the breed, and then...worked very hard to have the breed accepted to be shown in Canada . Long before I purchased my first beautiful Biewers,I did not want to get involved with a breed that I could not show. Best Wishes with your Parti's. |

You're right Bama....YTCA is not concerned if the Parti is developed as it's own seperate breed....too much emphasis is being made that YTCA is hindering the Parti breeders....bottom line is they want to keep the Yorkshire Terrier Standard as it stands...as someone else said it's in our bylaws, code of ethics and conduct....would one expect anything less. |
 you definately said that much better than I could!!!!!!!!! |
The YTCA is only supportive of the Biewers if the Biewers "are" a separate breed and not an anomaly colorwise from the Yorkies. |

No you misunderstood what I was try to say. We have been told if we drop the Yorkie from Biewer Yorkie Terrier, and call them Biewers or Biewer Terrier, YTCA would support Biewers as a separate breed. |
Biewer I can call them..just Biewer..so I vote for that!!!! Would it make everyone or most happy? |
