| ![]() When I was breeding I also never bred on every heat, but only every other and that depended on how healthy the bitch was at the time. |

| ![]() I'm very confused as to what is going on in this thread? BUt if you want people's advice to your question, here is mine. I breed and I work full time. I have, 2 females and 1 male. I have only had three litters (total). I live two miles away from work and I also have my mother living with me. If there is a problem, I can be home within 3 minutes. You do need to stay at home with the females when it is close to giving birth. That could be a week or two. Hopefully your boss is a nice person. If God-forbid you have a problem with any of the puppies, then that could add a few more weeks to your staying home. Unless you have someone there. A mentor is great, will she stay with your babies? I don't mean to sound mean, Just trying to give you a heads up. It in its self is a full time job, but the reward is amazing. Why don't you try with one pregnancy and see how it goes. Everyone thinks its a blast and a great way to make money, trust me it is a blast if things go right, not so if something goes wrong. I mated my male with two other females around 5 months ago, one lady had to get her dog a c- section it cost her more then what she made selling the puppies and she still has one left that she can't sell, the other also has a puppy left that she can't sell either. My advice, think before you jump. Good luck!

| ![]() Wow, I can't believe this thread resurfaced... ![]() No, this is the one I was talking about from the other thread (I think Susan mentioned it). This was the same friend who cut Tucker's hair that did this... ![]() Me...I have two part time jobs, but I take my babies to work with me to one three days a week, and my other job is really flexible and I can come home whenever I want during the day to check on mine. I couldn't imagine having a full time job outside the home where I couldn't take my babies or check on them...there's no way I could breed if I did. ![]() |

| ![]() Sorry, I was curious if this was the same one. I really think she has a screw loose. As for me, I couldn't imagine taking that many dogs anywhere lol I couldn't imagine us getting in the car. You seem to do well, and find time to be on YT to boot ![]() |

Anyways, I was so confused at first because I was thinking to myself, I remember Brooky just had her pups and Maddie just bred... So I knew that there's no way the other's were being bred because you talked about the planned breeding before. Am I right? And she got them all wrong... she said Brooke vulva is firm when she already had her pups and Maddie is due in the end of March right, but she said Maddie will be in heat soon.... She's a crazy lady

| ![]() I dont think its possible to have several litters and work at the same time and would never do that. However, I do feel that dealing with one litter and working should/could be fine. With so much new technology out there... you can install a monitor on the mom/litter at home and be able to watch them from where ever you are. And, for someone like me who works less than 10 min from home... I dont see any problem with that at all. Just because you dont stay at home doesnt make you any less capable of taking care of a litter or a child for that matter... If we as people didnt have the ability to multi-task, our civilization would be way behind...imo

| ![]() I agree it would be very hard because no delivery is ever the same, especially if this is first time babies for your girls. When it comes time for delivery it is a round the clock because unfortunatly if something goes wrong you only have a few minutes to act before everyone is in danger.Even if you do have someone check on them they might not be there at the right time.I know when it comes time for my girls to deliver my whole life stops so I can be there for them.I am a stay at home mom so I can do that I understand not every one can.Good Luck and hopefully you can take your babies with you to work. |
