My

is 11 months old and has grown a bit more than her parents and siblings and weighs 4.6kg. Xena is house trained and very smart, loves to play and has a hearty conversion when she wants to have her way with me

. I love her so much

. My daughter complains to her dad that I have replaced her with Xena..lol

As my last two blogs can attest, I've been hung up on Eddie's senior years for the last year or so. He's 11 now, and I honestly feel I've worked my way through the fear of his aging and I've come to embrace it.

I've come to the conclusion that Eddie's kinda like the Toby Keith song: "I ain't as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was."...

There's something stirring around here girls? The old boy's been on a few long car trips, returning with the whiff of someone else's scent about him when he comes in too! In between he's spent hours on his big screen Mac. Cries of ooh! and ahhh! along with some very sad gasps seem to intersperse this specialized surfing.

Then these little boxes start arriving? They all seem to be for things I've already got, like I really need new stainless steel dinner and water bowls. This afternoon...

2 weeks old puppies eating formula from palm of my hand

1st time mother Yorkie (and first time Yorkie grandma--me) gave birth to 4 pups 2 weeks ago. 2 of the 4 pups are a little smaller than the other 2. they are all gaining weight, for the most part. every 2-3 days, the 2 smaller pups might not gain weight or may even lose 5-6 grams because the larger 2 push them out of the way. I have been attempting to bottle feed to supplement but they do not like the nipple. I squirted formula into the palm of my hand and they do seem to eat some that way. ...
