| I'm going to check out the videos. Internet is slow right now. Good to know I should always reward after the click. I'm trying to teach weave through the legs, so I was clicking when he was half way through. It really seemed to help, but I do want him to get it in one smooth motion. Does this mean I need to click only once he weaves a few times or what?

| I'm a little surprised... starmark clickers are fantastic but they are one of the loudest on the market- great for outdoor training. We used them in agility and a few dogs in the class were terrified of the sound, so those of us who had them switched to the cheaper box clickers. Yes, you click and treat every time. When I first started using one, my timing (click/mark) was off- just a little too slow. My trainer said timing is important and suggest I practice by bouncing a ball and every time the ball hits the floor I should click. I later realized that the box clicker was part of the problem because I had to push down alot harder before I got the click. I now use the one made by Karen Pryor.

| Hmm, that's strange. The agility trainer suggested this one because it was quieter. It is much quieter than the Petco "box clicker" I think you call it.

| I was talking to Miranda and she gave me a lot of advice. She said once the behavior is pretty strong, you want to start using the clicker less often. You still need to give a treat every time you click, but click every couple of times (this is after the behavior is pretty solid). Make it random, so the dog will always want to do the behavior to get the reward. On Youtube her username is MirandaBourque, so watch her videos and if you have questions I'm sure she would be happy to answer. She answered my questions very well.

As I am well aware she does not consult with owner dog unseen as it is a risk to her insurance. She was always made people fly in or send video. As for sit happens they have some pretty good trainers. I am sure working with Tammy and Leigh was fun. JL

Yes she been working on getting a non conforming vet behaviorists residents for a while now. She is one amazing lady. You of course have seen and know her mothers work as well, the apple does not fall far from the tree. But who where you working with at Sit and I see know why you are not using hyper hounds in Dewinton if you are in Calgary. I had hoped to get up to Sit for some classes with the pups but they all left home so maybe the next litter. JL
