I'm a little surprised... starmark clickers are fantastic but they are one of the loudest on the market- great for outdoor training. We used them in agility and a few dogs in the class were terrified of the sound, so those of us who had them switched to the cheaper box clickers.

Yes, you click and treat every time. When I first started using one, my timing (click/mark) was off- just a little too slow. My trainer said timing is important and suggest I practice by bouncing a ball and every time the ball hits the floor I should click. I later realized that the box clicker was part of the problem because I had to push down alot harder before I got the click. I now use the one made by Karen Pryor.
