| Please Keep my Oliver in your prayers.... I left Oliver tonight at the Hospital...he is having surgery on both back knees tomorrow morning for luxating patellas. He has been graded between 3 and 4 on both legs. I hated leaving him...he has a way of making me feel so guilty with his adorable face...He wont be able to come home until Friday...I cant wait until it is all over with. They said they will call me tomorrow as soon as he comes out of anesthesia..I know i am going to go crazy until i can bring him home..... Please just say a little prayer for my boy...I love him so much..Thank you....

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I will keep him in my prayers. Cali has grade 4 in both legs but so far doesn't seem bothered by it. Please keep us posted on how he is doing.

| I will say a prayer for your precious baby. I'm sorry he can't come home until Friday. That is going to seem so long to you. Sending you hugs and get well wishes to Oliver.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I'm so sorry I missed this earlier. Please try not to worry. You are doing a great thing for Oliver. In any other generation, Oliver would be doomed to being crippled for the rest of his life. You're giving him a chance -- a good chance at that. Modern surgery is amazing, and you're taking full advantage of it for Oliver. I went through the same anguish with Jack a couple times, and I never regretted a second, or a penny, of it. And, believe me, Oliver will know you did it all for him out of love. You'll be closer to him than ever before because he'll know you were there for him in a tough time. Sending happy thoughts for Oliver and your family.

Thanks Mike and Lisa... I know that i am doing the right thing for Oliver, but it was all i could do to push myself out the door yesterday and leave him there. He is such a sweet boy, and his most favorite thing to do is chase his balls (we have a million of them all over!) So crying all the way home..i turn on the radio (we were having bad weather all around) and i hear tornado warnings for the area that i left Oliver in! Needless to say, i was a wreck! Thank God, they fared the storm well, but, what a long night it was...now for the long next few hours until i hear from them that his surgery is over... It is so nice to be able to vent to people who totally understand...

| Praying for a safe surgery and a quick, complete recovery for Oliver. You're doing a great thing for him! Stay strong and he'll be home before you know it! I'll check back in later for an update. {hugs}

| Update on Oliver...Thank you God... I got the call from the surgeon and Oliver is doing well. The surgery went well, he said poor Oliver was definitely a grade 4 in both legs. He had a lot of work to do to make his legs right. He has pins in both and they also did a tibial crest movement on both. He said they had to rotate 45 degrees on both legs. He said unfortunately, Oliver will be a little worse before getting better because of the pain, but long term this will give him much better mobility. He stressed how the next 2 months are crucial in Oliver's recovery....total confinement other than potty breaks on leash. I have to call at 9am tomorrow and the doctor will let me know then if he wants to release him tomorrow or keep him another day. It all depends on how he is doing. I want to thank each and every one of you for your thoughts and prayers for my boy. This has been one of the longest, most stressful days in my life~ I cant wait until i can pick him up just to reassure him he hasn't been abandoned..Thank you all and God Bless...it is amazing that i have not met a one of you and i feel closer than i do to so many people in my life..
