Update on Oliver...Thank you God... I got the call from the surgeon and Oliver is doing well. The surgery went well, he said poor Oliver was definitely a grade 4 in both legs. He had a lot of work to do to make his legs right. He has pins in both and they also did a tibial crest movement on both. He said they had to rotate 45 degrees on both legs. He said unfortunately, Oliver will be a little worse before getting better because of the pain, but long term this will give him much better mobility. He stressed how the next 2 months are crucial in Oliver's recovery....total confinement other than potty breaks on leash. I have to call at 9am tomorrow and the doctor will let me know then if he wants to release him tomorrow or keep him another day. It all depends on how he is doing. I want to thank each and every one of you for your thoughts and prayers for my boy. This has been one of the longest, most stressful days in my life~ I cant wait until i can pick him up just to reassure him he hasn't been abandoned..Thank you all and God Bless...it is amazing that i have not met a one of you and i feel closer than i do to so many people in my life.. |
