| Help with breeder !!! Should I trust?! Hi everyone, I was looking to surprise my daughter with a Yorkie for her birthday.(oct 28th). Well I look everywhere and found Yorkie match. In Arizona. Even though I'm in Utah they told me their kids go to college in Utah and could bring the dog for me so I paid the deposit. I thought I picked a good breeder because I saw reviews and info about the dogs and everything but I just found a few bad reviews about them. Do you guys know them? Should I trust? My daughters birthday is in 2 weeks and I don't know what to do. The dog is her birthday gift and if I don't go with yorkiematch I will need find another good breeder . |

| http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...ick-puppy.html Here is an old thread I found regarding this breeder. I would not recommend getting a puppy from this person. I know you really want to get your daughter a puppy, but getting one from here could just lead to heartache for you and your daughter. Maybe for her birthday tell her you are getting her a puppy and you can start a search for a new puppy together. May be more fun for you and her to pick out the pup herself! |

| You might want to check threads here about the breeder before you commit any more money. I only know what I learn here, but I am concerned that they use the term "tcup" and that others have reported problems. I understand wanting to have the gift your daughter wants for her birthday, but we spent several times the purchase price of one of our dogs in her first year in diagnosis and treatment of genetic issues. That would be no gift for your child, particularly if she will be paying expenses. There are precious pups to be had and it may be worth the time to find one from at breeder with a good reputation for healthy pups.

| Many red flags on the website. 3.2 lbs for a dam is too small to breed in my opinion. No registration AKC. Paypal to pay deposit or payment for a pup? When does the interview take place to be sure the home is appropriate? Advertising TCup which is not a variety of any breed of dog. They are undersized. |

| I already started looking for other dogs. Well, some of them are just from people that had puppies and have mom and dad on site. After reading things in here I think is better to just get a puppy from a loving home than from a bad breeder. What do you guys think? I'm not planning to breed. Doesn't have to have breeding rights. Is important to have akc papers? Or doesn't matter? Some of them have others don't. |

| Again, I was planning on having traditional color: black/tan. I have seeing a lot of parti yorkies with white and brack. Is that normal? How do they look like as Adult size? |

To look for a breeder, I would recommend checking the YTCA Breeder Referrals list. YTCA = Yorkshire Terrier Club of America.

| I saw a case. I saw a breeder selling a dog without breeding rights because the position of the teeth or something like that. Well I found another dog. With akc papers and everything else. Just waiting to go see it. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Actually, I'd admire the breeder who is selling the dog without breeding rights, that's a responsible breeder. I would buy a pup from someone like that, if you're not going to breed, you pup doesn't have to be perfect. When I said you need to be able to register your pup, I didn't mean you needed to have breeding rights.

| I hope you're able to find a furbaby for your daughter. There are a lot of very knowledgeable people here, so read and learn a ton from them. Good luck.

Do you mind sharing the name/location of this breeder? We could help you determine whether or not the breeder is good. Here is a YTCA member in Utah that breeds yorkies in your state: Linda Carter Erda UT (435) 882-9846 lindawonderwomancarter@yahoo.com PAS
