| please help my baby! I want to die right now I'm so sad! I have a 4lb yorkie shihtzu she is 2 years old. She had her second heat and I thought it was done so we went on a play date with my friends yorkie poo (3lbs). I knew I should have waited longer but I didn't and that's my fault! But now she is 56 days pregnant. About 3 hours ago I felt her crawling on my legs as I was laying on the couch which is normal since she practially lives in my legs to stay warm. All of a sudden I herd this thump on the floor which seemed odd to me and I flew up. There was white foam all over and she was on her side kicking it lasted about a min maybe less it seemed like forever. I screamed her name and oh my god help her help her to my husband and she got up and she seemed normal but afraid because she went to hide under the table... I called her out because she had vomit all over her and I wanted to wipe her up with a warm cloth, I wraped her in a towel and started rocking her to sleep like I usually do. I was worried the impact hurt her babies. After a few mins I did feel movement in her tummy. I haven't left her side since but I did give her water and some cheese and she did eat and drink. Our local vet is closed till tomorrow please any advice, knowledge, experiance and support would be sooo much appreciated at this time god bless you all |

| Sounds like a seizure. A 4 pound pregnant girl is in quite a bit of danger as it is. I hope you went to the ER.

| UD Hey guys There was no er vets open where we live the nearest one being 2 hours away. I would have taken her if I had senced more wrong but from the time the seizure was done which was maybe 30 seconds she was her old self except she was scared and tried to hide under the table I got her out right aWay and wraped her up and rocked her she ate food and water right away and took a nap as usual. We went to bed and everything also as normal she even got off the bed twice and I noticed her water all gone. She is even barking as normal at every noise its the weirdest thing. So now its morning and my reg vet is open but I haven't called because she is totally normal and my husband doesn't get paid till thurs and I don't even have enough money in the bank for even a reg vet visit bill. I have been trying to get a hold of my parents to borrow enough money for an emergency c section or other emergency should one occur. I'm still worried I'd feel more at peace taking her in but till I can borrow some money I'm just going to have to do my best. All I know is that my birdy is getting fixed asap |

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I hope you took her to the ER vet last night. It's hard to tell from your description whether she had the episode and then fell, or fell and had the episode. If it's the later, it could be signs of a concussion.

| I'm sorry, but you should try to figure out a way for her to see your vet What if she has another seizure when in labor, scary to think about. You could lose her and the pups too. |

| Thtas the thing I don't even know. One second she was at my legs the other she was on the floor. I don't know if yhe seizure made her fall or if when she jumped off the couch she fell wrong causing seizure. You are all correct I do need to take her but I have no money to I can't get a hold of my parents but my husband gets paid thurs so I made an appt for thurs 9am I pray she is ok till then. If something else happens between now and then will most vets treat her and allow me to make payments? I'm actually gonna call my vet back and ask that. |

| I know I red that on line last night very up setting to say the least. Like I said hubby gets paid thurs, we have already talked about setting money aside for emergency dog funds. We never thought about it before I don't know why. Ever since her seizure I been having many regrets and feeling a ton of guilt. I have had animals in my past and growing up and when it was their time to go I wasn't sad or up set but this dog I have a special attachment to and if something bad would happen to her I don't know what I would do. If it turned out that she would need continous medical care that we couldn't afford I would probably have to give her up to a family that could afford it. Although we could prob afford it its just we didn't have a heads up nor think about putting money aside. Grr Lesson learned |
