| Princess and I slipped and fell... I was carrying Princess outside this morning and when I stepped out on the deck I slipped and fell and dropped Princess too. To me, it seemed like she hit the deck so hard. She seemed like she went into a sort of shock. It took her a few mintutes to start movning in my arms. I was so scared that I rushed her to the vet. They did tests and said she was ok and that she might be sore for the next few days and gave me painkillers for her. I am still scared that she might have internal injuries or something that I cannot see now. Has anyone else experienced anything similiar like this? Please help me stop worrying!! |

| How about you? Are you okay? That fall sounds terrible. I am alway safraid I am going to fall when holding one of mine. You did the right thing and I think if you just watch carefully for any changes and take her back to the vet if she acts differently. I hope she is fine. |

| I too have that fear, everytime I take Maggie out. With me, I am a great deal older, I try to watch my footing. It's something that I think about on every step I take. I have fallen, but never with Maggie in my arms. I take her out on a leash, even though the yard is fenced. This way if I fall, she won't go down with me.

| I'm so sorry to hear about Princess. Check her stool tomorrow and make sure she has normal poop. And keep a close eye on her for the next few days, see that she drinks water and eats her food so she doesn't become hypoglycemic. Hope she gets a lot better in the next few days. |

| Aww, I'm so sorry that happened. You'll both probably be sore in the morning. If Princess seems stiff tomorrow I'd go ahead and give her the painkiller, just err on the conservative side, not too often. Hope everything's OK with her and with you. Let us know how you both are.

| I'm always afraid of falling too! I think the vet could tell if something were wrong but just keep an eye on her. You might be sore for a few days , also. Take good care of both of you.

| Wow, so sorry that you and Princess got her. I would monitor her closely and if you notice any abnormal changes, take her to the vet asap. Good luck!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I really hope your BOTH ok - If she seems normal then I would try not to worry too much - but good luck - I'd also watch her eyes/vision for any signs of concussion.....shaking or trembling also - if you see any of that - go right to the vet..... That's SUCH a scary thing to happen and I'm so glad you AND your baby weren't hurt worse - Hugs to you both.. |
