http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/reci..._24770,00.html I like this one by Paula Deen. It's pretty simple. Not that it matters, but because I don't eat red meat I subsitute the ground beef for ground turkey.

I just throw stuff in too. But there is a recipe on the back of the oatmeal container that i have used and it works well. I dont' have it right now but if iwas to recall from memory i would say... 1 1/2 lbs ground beef, 1/4 cup onion, egg, 3/4 cup of instant oatmeal and about 1/2 cup ketchup, salt/pepper to taste. Bake for an hour or until center is 165 degrees

Okay this is how I make it, from my mom's kitchen... 1.5-2 pounds ground sirloin (to make it more lean you can use ground turkey for 1/2 of the meat) 1/4 cup chopped onion (more if you like extra) 3 beef bouillon cubes (disolved in approx 3/4 cup hot water) 1 egg 1 cup bread crumbs (home made is best, toast bread in toaster and break up into the meat) Saute onion in 2 Tablespoon butter. Mix all ingredients together and pat into loaf pan. Bake 350 Degrees for 45 min to 1 hour. You can put ketchup on top 15 min before done. NOTE if you do not have onion or bouillon cubes use 1 packet of Lipton Onion Soup Mix instead!
