| Air Purifier??? Can someone recommend a really good air purifier? I have been having tons of allergy asthma problems the past month and I am fed up. This month is supposedly the worst month ever for allergens and pollens and even though I dont go outside that much I know they can still get in the house and Im hoping an air purifier might help. Does anyone know?

Thank for the info. The reason I was asking is I had a small purifier that I didnt change the filter on and it broke on me. I dont mind changing the filter but they can be hard to find sometimes.

| I also have asthma and raise birds (what a combination). I paid the big bucks for the Sharper Image ones that you don't ever have to replace the filter on, just wash off the metal collection plate. |

| shana, go on line under air filters, you will find it there. also try k-mart or target, they might have it too... or the sharper image if you want to pay a fortune.. they do work though...

| Go to www.sharperimage.com and look at them and then go to Ebay and they sell their returns for a cheaper price. They are expensive, but since I raise parrotlets (world's smallest parrots) I have many in my house. The other air purifiers I had purchased didn't help and I was on allergy meds plus having to go get breathing treatments, plus listen to everyone nag about me getting rid of my birds, but these allow me to keep my birds, no breathing treatments, no daily medications, and I have only had a few asthma attacks (which use to last for several days) and as soon as my husband cleaned the "filter" I was fine within hours. |

| If you own your own home, the best thing to do is get an electric air filter on your furnace and a ultra violet light that kills viruses, bacteria, etc. they work great. I have them on my furnace at home because I have really bad allergies, sinsus, and asthma problems. They've made a world of difference. I work for a heating a cooling company so I can get them at cost and it was well worth it. Just a thought. You dont change any filters and it works great!! it comes on when the a/c and furnace comes on. |

| Sorry, don't have one but looks like you've been given some great suggestions to start with. Best of luck and I hope your allergies clear up soon!
