| Husband on Strike This man is on strike until his wife makes the children sleep in their own beds. http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/8...s=det&psp=news How do you feel, should children be allowed to sleep with their parents? My theory,on raising children, "Don't start anything that you do not want to become a habit." Eventually they are going to have to sleep in their own beds, and when that time comes, they are going to put up a fight. Unless of course you can successfully bribe them, which puts the child in control. Not a good situation. |

| I agree... No kids in the bedroom.. We have had times when someone is really sick and we keep them in there to keep an eye on them or last hurricane season when Rita and Wilma were blowing through, but other then that. They really do prefer their own beds. I have a friend who actually let her first sleep in bed with her and now they have a 2 year old, he's 6 by the way. Well, the 2 year old stays in her bed, but the 6 year old is STILL in bed with them.... |

| My daughter has a friend like that. The 1 year old sleeps in his own bed, but the 2 1/2 year old sleeps with them. My niece as an 8 year old only child. She still sleeps with them. They bribed her with a new bedroom set, and she still sleeps with them. |

| I don't have kids, but I know when I do, they will learn to sleep in their OWN beds. Every once in a while, like a weekend night just as a treat would be different. But I would make the child understand that it's only a treat, not an everynight occurance. I don't agree with it. It makes children too dependent and basically spoiled. They don't learn to tackle their fears and it becomes difficult to rid them of this habit. With that said, how does everyone feel about our furbabies in bed with us? It's weird, I wouldn't let me kids sleep in bed with me everynight, but Coco is different. Why? Dogs are even more habitual than kids, at least with kids you talk to them and make them understand. How do you all feel it's different, kids in bed, vs. dog in bed.

| I don't know why I feel different. My sister lets my nephew sleep with her sometimes, and I tell her not to do that because he won't want his own bed. She was like "UMMM it's funny you should be talking. You can't even sleep unless your dog is in bed with you."..lol...I don't know why I think it's ok for Coco or any of my future dogs and not kids..lol

| I believe that childern belong in their own beds in there own room. My 2 year nephew sleeps with my sis/bother-in-law, which causes a problem when he stays with me or at my moms for the night. |

| I think children should always sleep in their own beds. Don't start a bad habit then expect it to go away when you want it to. |

| Oh my gosh! Wow, what a way to prove your point, man! Hahaha, definitely entertaining, that's for sure! I agree though, the kids should sleep in their own beds!

| I totally agree w/ that guy. I think he's making his point. I think that children sleeping in bed is awful. My step sis lets my FIVE nephews sleep in bed w/ her. She has no control over them and they're all uber dependent. Her hubby sleeps on the couch or on the floor of the bedroom. What happens when she or one of her other four kids rolls over onto the newborn? It will inevitabley happen.

Because dogs don't grow up needing counseling because their parents didn't set boundries for them. Dogs are always going to be your babies, children need to grow up. | |

| My kids always go to sleep in their own beds but on occaisions might come in to me in the middle of the night. I dont mind this as its not all the time and im making the most of them being kids as IMO kids grow up too fast these days. AND does it really matter? Each to their own!!!

| No offense to anyone that does this, because everyone is different. But I think over indulging kids, by letting them eat what they want, sleep where they want, and watch what they want, is creating monsterous kids that need shows like Nanny 911. When I was growing up, everything was whatever mom and dad said and nothing more. Kids have become more and more spoiled and bratty by the minute. It's because parents just want them to shut up so they over indulge them and let them have whatever to keep them quiet. Again I'm not a parent, but am a keen observer. Not good parenting skills.
