| Anyone tried Insanity? Anyone tried Insanity yet? I'm talking about the exercise program by Shaun T, not the insanity that so many of us think of when we lose our minds! lol!!! My husband and I started it this week, and let me tell you, if this doesn't work to get us in shape and lose weight nothing will! You definitely learn very quickly where they got the name of the program!!!! You are sweating profusely and breathing very hard within the first 10 minutes, and that's just the warm up!!!! It consists of a 60 day program, that's about 45 minutes per day of working out, 6 days a week, with one day to rest! Each day you're working different muscles! Thank goodness because the first day I felt my thighs and a little in my abs. Day two, I could hardly get out of bed because my calves were hurting! I learned very quickly that there is no way to keep up with the people in the DVD with their perfect beach bodies, so we're just doing the best we can and it's still almost killing us! I suck at push ups, to say the least! I can't wait to see the results after a few weeks because I know it will show by then! It helps that we have each other to work out with to keep each other motivated because I was cursing at the television the very first workout!!! Just wondering if anyone else is insane enough to try this?

| I totally understand!!!! My daughter has the P90X, and she likes it. She says it's not as intense as insanity, but it works! We are actually looking forward to our workout each day. It's fun since you're doing something different and it's not the same old thing!!! Still cursing and fussing, but I'm getting through it, and I just keep telling myself that this has to work since it's so intense!!!! Hopefully the tape measure is being nice to you!!! My scale likes me more and more each day!

| I might try it. I want something new, and I'm getting bored with my workout. 45 mins sounds too little since I do 70 mins 5 days a week. If it's as intense as you say, I'm looking forward to trying it.

| I got pretty out of shape since I started graduate school...I got stressed, lazy, and I couldn't say no to pizza. So...I think p90x will be plenty intense for me lol. The only exercise I get is walking Teddy 4 miles a day...and very clearly that is not going to get me anywhere! Good luck with you gals and intensity!

| I have done 2 rounds of Insanity. I reached my wt. loss goals and leaned out pretty good. You have to eat right in order to see results. Exercising alone won't do it. :-) I've done 1 round of P90X. It's less intense cardio for sure. I did P90x first and then moved on to insanity. I hate push ups, too. I can only do about 2 on my toes before I have to go to my knees. I started out not being able to do any, so that was progress for me. Both are great programs, but P90x will be boring to you since you are doing insanity first. I'm a beachbody addict. LOL. I am now doing my 2nd round of Chalean Extreme and like it better than P90x. Good luck to you! It'll be worth it. |

| I don't do the supplements, but I do use Shakeology. My diet initially consisted of Michi's ladder in the top 2 tiers only.I did that to reach my goal quicker, but it was definitely a struggle for me to stick to Michi's ladder. Now, I just eat in moderation whatever I want. I try to stay with lean meats (chicken, fish and tenderloin, i like all veggies and seasonal fruits. I don't drink sodas, I'm water only. I do have my days that I cave and eat junk food, but it happens maybe 3-4 times a month. Hope that helps. |

| I'm a big fan of the Beachbody workout programs. Especially Insanity. I've completed it twice over the last year and a half. Now I use the workout as my regular cardio. P90X is different. It's more strength workouts then cardio. I mix the two programs. I highly recommend taking a multivitamin and eating enough healthy foods with Insanity. Because you sweat so much and burn so many calories you body loses a lot of nutrients. After every workout I usually make a whey protein shake mixed with half water and half milk. It's important that you feed your muscles after these kinds of workouts. Don't worry you're not going to ruin your workout by consuming calories right after. They call it "free calories" Your muscles will absorb the protein and burn those calories and more 10 times faster then if you didn't have a shake. Check this out. yfrog Photo : http://yfrog.com/6xjhkuj Shared by This is how many calories I burned in an hour with the Max Interval Circuit from round 2. |

| I really enjoy strength training...a lot more than cardio so I'm enjoying the p90x routine. It's funny I haven't worked out in a while but muscle memory kicks in really quickly and I'm already feeling as strong as I used to when I would weight train regularly. I have to get better at my diet though...I'm not being as diligent as I should be...I ate 50g of carbs more than I should have yesterday
