| I am extremely active here! I just don't normally 'put myself out there' on forums is all. Many reasons for that but mostly because: not a single question or concern is left uncovered here. That's what the search feature is for. That's why I love YT! This site is the single solitary reason that my baby is as healthy, happy, and great looking today as the day I became owned by one of these love bugs! If I have a concern, I do a search... and trust me, yall are a wealth of awesome knowledge pertaining to this breed. No need to start a new thread just to beat a dead horse and more should take advantage of the feature, in my opinion. Below you will see my header which is why I finally post. The header takes up so much space, I cant get to the information I seek. I am making this post so that the powers that be know why I'm here and why I have no need to post. Perhaps then, this header will disappear: "Hello Mikaela Fox it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help provide a solution or just engage in a conversation with another member in any one of our forums? We'd love for you to become an active member here!" I have seen newbies try to come in and work their way into the clique. It's not pretty lol. I have no need for any of that. If I make friends on a site, which I have here, that's brilliant! But, it isn't my purpose or need. I need info to keep my Yorkie healthy, Not chat buddies. I don't have the time to be here as much as one needs to be to 'work the board'. So, I get out of the site what *I* need and leave the rest for others with that much time to enjoy. I have indeed made friends here though. One can never have too many! I host play dates about daily (very often, at least 3 a week). Then, I upload them to youtube for all of you to see. I then email the videos I shot of the play dates to the parents of the other pup so they have a copy. It's grown immensely! I soon found out no one wants to leave their baby along when they could drop it off to play with another Yorkie all day. I call us 'Mikaela's Play Dates' and advertise in several publications. Primarily, the main reason I STOPPED posting was when I tried to post once a little box came up saying: MY post would be posted IF admin approved it. (This post may very well say the same thing. I will know only when I actually post it. I asked and NO one else needed post approval. I dont know what that's about. And I dont care. I just want the header at the top of this site REMOVED. Its says if I post, it will be gone. But, I will not post on a site where, for whatever reasons, I need post approval when no one else does. That's weird and wrong on so many levels. So my trust towards YT has been wiped clean. Are you for me or against me? I honestly feel like an admin put that header there... just so I would post ooooone more time. Just so they could ban me. Its awful I have been made to feel this way. But I push through, mouth shut using the search feature. You cant ban one that never speaks. So I dont. But here I have been left with no choice: post and see the whole page or dont post and only see half. I'm forced to post or tolerate that header forever more. The need for ONLY MY posts needing approval is very offensive considering Ive never said much of anything. I certainly haven't said anything mean or foul. So, that's why I stopped posting in a nutshell. Ill keep my thoughts to myself and learn vicariously, but I will not tolerate post approval on a select few when everyone else is not in need of post approvals, goes right up! I have always been curious why I was 'put on blast' like that but surely not enough to care due to the drama that would surely ensue. I just thought: mouth shut, search feature open. Again... you cant ban one that will not speak. But, Im in a situation where I am forced to post. So, now is as good a time as any to post so I dont have to look at that header any longer. As well as, to see if someone is just sitting on the locked and loaded ban button, just waiting for me to pleeeease finally speak so I can toss YOU! (I've seen it! Dont act like you havent!) I will not touch drama nor will I allow drama to touch me. So I left these issues alone until now. If I'm forced to post, I'm going to make it count and perhaps get to the bottom of some of this. But thats not even my intention. My single reason for posting is to get that HUGE header removed. Please. Due to the header taking up a large part of my webpage, I am finally prompted to post when I really do not wish to do this at all. But in hopes that the header I posted above will be REMOVED if I post. I post! |

| Awww...I'm sorry that you feel this was something personal. I can assure you that is NOT the case. I have been a member here for years and there are times when I get busy and can't log on for a while. When that happens, I get the same header on mine! It's not something Admin did to you personally. I'm not sure what you mean by having to have approval to post something, when others don't have to have it. I know there are some sections (for sale threads) where you have to be a donating member to post, or some where your dog-for-sale post has to be approved first. There are *some* instances of that, but not many and certainly not aimed at only ONE member. There are lots of people who read a lot and don't post. Heck there are some people who sign up just to play the arcade games. Don't feel bad or feel a need to explain that. If all else fails, go to the "testing" section at the bottom and make one post that says "test" or something just to kill the header for a few weeks. I think maybe you have read too much into it and misunderstood. |

| I have had the approval thingie, once, but I didn't know why... thanks BAMA for the explanation. I had figured it was a random act.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hello . I get the same header when I get logged out, and then I have to log back in. Because you have so few posts, the forum is automatically set-up to place some posts in "approval needed" - especially if your posts contain certain pre-determined keywords. This helps us avoid spammers, which we get a lot of - and they still get through, actually. This is same for everyone. There is nothing set-up for your account that is specifically geared toward forcing your posts into approval mode, I can assure you. You are welcome to post...or not post, as you like . Does that help clarify the approval thing?

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I've received the same header after I've not posted in a few weeks. I always thought it was an automated thing and never took it personally. If I had something to post I did....if not, I didn't. I've read where others have had the approval box appear and thought it was a safeguard against spammers and such. I'm glad you've found the information you looked for and that you've made some friends through YT. Please don't let these things you're upset about discourage you from being a part of YT.
