| Devestated! Coco is missed by all! We recently lost our 10 month old little guy. He was such a joy and brought so much into our household. I got him for my wife to keep her company during the day and of course he got into my heart in no time at all. Before long we got a second yorkie, (Tiffany) she was one month older and they were inseperable. We live in a small contry town and on September 7 the 2 munchkins bolted out the door when my wife went to let the cat in. She went right after them but Coco darted out on to the road and was hit by a truck! Linda was devestated! I was too but felt I had to be strong for her. she was holding his poor little body in her arms and covered in blood. She had tried to give him mouth to mouth but there was no hope. I will never forget that sight. I buried him on our property under a new apple tree and have a stone angle watching over him. It helps to know he is close. But as sad as we were it was Tiffany's reaction that blew us away. While I dug his grave I laid Coco in his bed. There was some blood on it so we washed it. We couldnt bear to throw it away yet so I placed it in front of the fireplace with 1 of his toys. Tiffany who had been so lost went up to the bed sniffed it a lot where the blood had been and looked at us and a tear was coming down her face! You cant tell me they dont grieve for their companions! Some may say yorkies tear any way and it was a coincidence but we dont think so. It has been a very very hard couple of weeks so far! My heart broke that night and there is such a hole there now. My heart goes out to all those here who have also lost one of their "kids" Thanks for listening. |

| Oh my, that made me start to tear up! I am so sorry for you and your family's loss. I know that our dogs do grieve, both for the loss of their canine and human companions. Luckily, it usually does not last too long with dogs. Within weeks to a couple of months, she wil probably be okay again. A new companion when you all are ready my help too. So sorry to hear of your little one's accident.

YT 500 Club Member | Sending condolences Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown...

| I am so sorry for your loss. It breaks my heart to think how lonely your other pup must be and how you can not explain to him why his buddy is no longer there. |

The 3 Musketeers Donating Member | I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my 14 month old on 6/1/09. It's painful when we lose these little ones because we love them so dearly. Your baby is up at the Rainbow Bridge playing with all of our other puppies. You'll see him again. Take care.

YorkieTalk Newbie! | Thank you for sharing Hello phoenix, this is your wife . Thank you for sharing our devistating story. Its so hard to see the corner everyday of where he was hit by a truck that was travelling too fast. I know it was my fault for them getting out and I tried so hard to get him home. He just thought it was a game. So many times I thought I would have changed places if I could, but then Tiffany would miss me too, and so would you. I love you for trying to help me , loving Tiffany and I, and now loving our new little boy Nicki ( Coco's half brother). Thank you everyone for your wonderful condolences and the Rainbow Bridge will always be in my heart to remember when we will meet once again. I am so blessed that my husband has found this site and how much he much he loves me. He always knows what is best for me before I do. ty Linda |

| Thanks for all the kind words everyone! It is funny how things go. We just found out that the couple we got Coco from, had another litter 4 months ago. There was 1 pup left that nobody seemed to want. They only live 10 minutes away. I wasnt sure if Linda was ready for another dog BUT I had to do something about the loss I was feeling! We met Niki and Linda fell in Love with him immediatly. He is nothing like Coco and I wouldnt want him to be but there is a hint of smile and manner that I find comforting. As a mtter of fact he is a bit of a pudgy guy but that just makes him more cuddly. It is true you knoe the more love you give the more you get back. And dogs give it unconditionaly He wont replace Coco and I still ache but I do feel better. As it turned out this is exactly what Linda needed as well. Tiffany showed an immediate improvement. Maybe because he is still a pup but they are even curling up together. She even played a bit. I think it is because she was feeling the loss as well and this is helping her to cope as well |

| Circle of Life! Well it is official! We are going to be parents. Coco mated successfully with Tiffany and yesterday (Day 59 possibly) we felt the puppies move! We are so thrilled that something of Coco will live on besides our memories! Between this and Nicky our other new arrival we have been kept busy and loved and loving. Most of the time we We are able to just remember the good memories of Coco. Thanks to all the best wishes we got and to those who are still deeply hurting my prayers and best wishes go with you. |
