| de-barking What do you think of a breeder ( with many dogs) that debarks some of them so the neighbors don't complain? omega |

| I would rather rehome a dog than debark it

| I think that " breeder" shouldn't be, and shouldn't have so many dogs if that is their only solution.

| It is where the Vet surically removes the dogs voicebox. That breeder is obviouslly breeding dogs in an area where she shouldnt be if she has neighbors complaining

| I Have A Neighbor Down The Street Who Has 7 Silkies (they Look Just Like Yorkies And Are About 4lbs) Who Has Debarked Hers. Two Of Hers Are Champions. They Are The Most Beautiful Dogs I Have Ever Seen. I Dont Know If This Is Something Painful Or Not So I Dont Have An Opinion. All I Know Is Her Babies Seem To Be Very Happy And Friendly

| In my opinion, she doesn't appreciate dogs and doesn't have any business breeding them. |

| Can a debarked dog be judged?(to be a champion) They have so many requirements I can't believe they would allow that.

| I admit there are times his barking drives me nuts, but I would NEVER debark him, it's his voice, he's talking to me, telling me something... Something I wanna know, usually.

| It seems to me like they couldnt be. You cant spay or neuter them and that is also altering them

| OMG! They actually do that? What happens when the dog is crying out and something is REALLY WRONG? That is terrible. I know how annoying an always barking dog is but.......that seems wrong.

| I agree, that sounds so wrong to me. you can teach the dog to stop barking, all i have to say to dixie now is quiet! and she usually stops her barking......but I guess that woman doesnt have time to train her dogs, just breed them......................unless the dogs are not in her house and have nothing better to do than bark or something?? well then you know what kinda breeder she is............... and now I'll shut up.............

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Our neighbor behind us has a debarked poodle dog. While you can still hear the dog bark...argues with my 2 all the time, the barked is not as loud and shrill. It's almost a hoarse bark.
