I have an appointment in the morning but it definitely feels like a testicle to me.....has anyone had a vet forgot to remove one? Ugh so upset right now. |

| Is it because they are swollen like there is one there? Or because you feel something inside? Does he lick it? Joeys was swollen and looked like he still had a pair for like 4 days then it went down and it looked like he still had 1 for a few days after that. Now you can tell they are both gone, but its squishy and the vet said it will take a bit before it looks like nothing is there. However, if he licked and irritated the area, then there may be fluid (if you feel something), and that will go away but it will be a while. How long ago was he neutered?

| He was neutered last Thursday. If you look in my pictures he was totally swollen and his neuter went so wrong to begin with. He has not been licking it or anything. It feels like a testicle. It is a round hard ball so to speak. Not rock hard but hard. . I guess I have to wait to see what vet says it just makes me super sad |

| If its left in there, I would go absolutely nuts! (no pun intended) Just in case, I would get a second opinion, so the original vet doesnt have the opportunity to lie.

| He is doing fine. He is sleeping next to me in the bed. It doesn't seem to hurt him at all. I am trying not to stress. Thankfully 9 am is early lol |

| Oh I plan to get a second opinion. But I want to see what the original vet says. I am so upset I don't know if I will ever go back to this vet after this. |

I agree with Deanna, it is hard to imagine that a vet would forget to remove a testicle. With the swelling and severe bruising, I think what you are feeling on him must be something else. The ball you feel is where the testicles were? I remember thinking my vet had messed up when I saw the two little round glands protrude midway between the penis and testicles. Can't remember the name of these glands. Best wishes for Chewbacca to be back to 100% soon.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | When I had Dexter neutered I suffered from some similar problems it sounds like you're suffering from. When Dexter was returned to me his scrotum area was SO SWOLLEN!!! It was black and blueish color and looked absolutely painful. A week or so after neutering I started feeling what felt like a testicle. I was absolutely positive that is what it was and that there was something still in his little man area that they didn't probably remove. However, a trip to a new vet revealed that the original people that neutered him just rushed to much with the surgery. Their rushing caused the extra bad swelling, and that is why it felt like there was a testicle still in there. However, it was nothing and after about 3-4 weeks of healing everything went back to usual. There was no more "round" feeling object in his scrotum and there was no more swelling. I'm not saying that this is the case with chewbacca, but it very well may could be. Definitely get the second opinion... because it has happened where vets make mistakes and don't properly remove everything ... but to me, it just sounds like you're suffering with some very similar problems that I did with Dexter. Hoping for the best for your little baby I would hate for him to have to go through surgery again!
