| ![]() You are probably feeling some type of surgery/suture reaction lump or a bulbourethral gland. I'd have the vet check the area if you are concerned, but the possibility of it being a testicle is very slim.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | ![]() Just saw the picture, and while I must say that Dexter's neutering wasn't quite that dark in color their scrotum areas definitely look extremely similar. Dexter's swelled up to be that size, and was still pretty black and blue. Where did you get him neutered at? The day Dexter was neutered, what I didn't know until I got there to pick him up, was that there were 13 other dogs and 4 cats there were scheduled to be neutered on the same day. There was only two vets, and one of them didn't show up until the afternoon. So needless to say, they rushed. They rushed very quickly to get all of their patients fixed before the pick up deadline. That definitely contributed to the severe bruising and swelling. It is VERY sensitive down there lol .... and rushing to get the job done is definitely going to cause some bruising and swelling. Hopefully your vet will put your mind at ease and tell you that is the only problem.

| ![]() a lot of times it still looks like something is there right after. He might also be having an allergic reaction to the suture material, its not super common but it happens and can cause the area to swell and feel hard. Poor guy! Hope all goes well at the vet.

| ![]() Poor boy... I cannot imagine what could have caused all that bruising. I would be putting up a fuss. I really hope they did not miss one. I have never seen the bruising that Chewbacca had... Poor guy ![]()

| ![]() Okay so I am home. I saw a different doctor but at the same vet hospital. She said that because of the hematoma he had after surgery it is not uncommon for there to be scar tissue and some blood that makes it feel like there is still a testicle. He was the only neuter the day he had surgery and they dug through the "trash" to make sure that there was two testicles in there and there was. She said it could take a couple months for it to be completely flat and to do warm compresses on it. I am going to give it a couple weeks and see if there is any difference. If not i will be taking him to a different vet office to get a second opinion. I do feel somewhat better but I will not feel completely better until it is gone. |

| ![]() Had the same situation, it's fluid in the empty vessel that once contains his gonads. It took several weeks for Tufty's to go away |
