| I'm so very sorry! I hope you have someone with you to help you cope with your loss. It isn't easy to cope with the loss of one of these precious babies, but a tragic accident such as yours is even more difficult to accept.

| I am so sorry to read this. It is tragic. while I have no advice, all I can say is time is the best healer. Also, 62 is not old, you are young, the new 40, and s0omeday, when you are ready, you still have many good years ahead to bring another little Yorkie into your life. Grieve for sure, just take care of yourself. |

| I know it doesn't help, but what you are feeling is perfectly normal. Time is the only thing that will heal. I managed to cope with the loss of our first dog (a lab, hit by a car at 11 months old) by getting another within a week. When I had to put our second dog to sleep at 8 years old (a German Shorthaired Pointer), I truly felt dead inside, but time helped to heal. That was 13 years ago and to this day I miss him, but think of him fondly and smile knowing he was my pride and joy. Yet, there is still room in my heart to love my little Rocco with everything I have. We all cope differently, and you will know what's best for you after some time passes. Again, I am heartbroken for you and will say a prayer for your heart to begin healing.

| I'm so sorry to hear about Elly May. The suddeness of it has to be excruciatingly painful. I lost my Chelsea after a long battle with CT, so I knew the end was coming, I just didn't expect her to go downhill at the end in such a short period of time. I cried for weeks. Heck, thinking about her now starts me bawling. I'm not sure you ever completely get over the loss.

| My Muffin was old and sick. I didn't handle it any better than you or anyone else, but after some time we decided to try to let a puppy bring back some joy into the rooms that were missing the usual mess of puppy toys. We found ourselves smiling again and healing as time passed.
