| First thing you need to do is find out if the hotel lets dogs in their building. If they do you could bring a small (like a plane crate) to keep your baby in when you leave. I personally would be to afraid of leaving the puppy alone. You never know who has the key to your room. You would think just about any employee has access to a key (ya never know). I did bring amber with us to a hotel. But never left her alone. She came with us at all times. I had to sneak her inside a blanket because they did not alow pets. I had her sleep in the bottom of our stroller basket that I made comfty with blankets. |

| We travel with Oscar all the time. We never leave him in the hotel tho. We have a soft collapsible crate we keep in the truck and it has his bed and toys in it. When we leave the truck, we tuck him in there and he is happy while we are gone. It is a diesel so if it is hot or cold, we can leave it running to keep him comfortable. I just don't like the thought of leaving him alone. You never know who might come in there while you are gone or if your puppy will pitch a fit and disturb the neighbors. You might return to your room and find out that you have been kicked out!!! |

| we have traveled a lot with our 2 yorkies also and most motels are pet friendly these days. even is the sign says no pets they don't mind a small one. just make sure you ask first. there are a lot of web sites that has lists of pet friendly lodging. i have only left them in the room one time to go have breakfast in the hotel dining room. (big mistake) won't do that again. too much barking. we do the same as oscars mom does. we put the travel crates in the truck (weather permitting) while we go inside to eat.

| We went to Atlantic City in Jan and we took Gucci with us. Of course we sneaked her in. We never left her alone in the room thou. We went to Applebees and we sneaked her in also. She slept the whole time. Nobody notice until I was leaving because the blanket I had covering her off with fell on the floor. A lady just said 'Oh my, thats a little dog in your bag?" I guess we were lucky that Gucci behave so well. We pee pad trained her, so she used the wee pads at the hotel also. I just made sure I will take her often to show her where it was. She didnt had any accidents. |

| I would check out hotels that accept pets and reserve a room there. Always best to be safe than sorry. Many hotels will kick you out with no refund if they find you have a pet and it is against their policy. I never leave my baby alone. He has a carrier which looks much like a purse and I just stash my money, ID, etc. in one outside pocket and my cell phone in the other outside pocket, while he is inside on his blankies. That way I can just take him in wherever I go and no one even realized it isn't really my purse. I'd suggest looking on eBay or going to your local pet boutique (not PetCo., PetsMart - they don't usually carry the ones that look more like purses, less like dog bags) and picking up a nice carrier for your baby. A good disguisable one can cost around $60 but they are worth it in the long run. I'd rather have my baby with me in a restaurant and get caught than leave him in a hotel room where anyone with access to a ket could come in and snatch him.
