I would check out hotels that accept pets and reserve a room there. Always best to be safe than sorry. Many hotels will kick you out with no refund if they find you have a pet and it is against their policy. I never leave my baby alone. He has a carrier which looks much like a purse and I just stash my money, ID, etc. in one outside pocket and my cell phone in the other outside pocket, while he is inside on his blankies. That way I can just take him in wherever I go and no one even realized it isn't really my purse. I'd suggest looking on eBay or going to your local pet boutique (not PetCo., PetsMart - they don't usually carry the ones that look more like purses, less like dog bags) and picking up a nice carrier for your baby. A good disguisable one can cost around $60 but they are worth it in the long run. I'd rather have my baby with me in a restaurant and get caught than leave him in a hotel room where anyone with access to a ket could come in and snatch him.
