| Outraged by Puppy Mill bust in Tennessee Unfortunatly, I am reporting another puppy mill bust. Read the links below for all the details. I spoke with someone at the shelter that said that all the animals had a good temperament except for a few skiddish ones which were blind. They will have to go to court over the remainder of the animals AND the lady could get the rehabilitated ones back. They are all under vet care. That sure is a good deal for her! Anyone on YT who has experience with this tell me what I need to do to influence this case so that this despicable lady isn't enabled to keep breeding in inhumane conditions or get the confiscated dogs back. Hopefully, the rest of them will be taken from her too!!! The shelter needs donations of food or money for food. If you would like to send something to help them save these helpless creatures here is the address. 296 Manufacturers Rd Rockwood, TN 37854-4106 Here are several links to the story. | What is wrong with people??? I saw this on the news and those pictures made me cry. I know this happens but to see what those poor babies go through... my heart aches for these babies. I pray they are able to recover so that willing and competent homes can help them enjoy the rest of thier lives. (I am sure since you are near Knoxville area you have also heard about the man who was arrested for dragging his dog behind his truck down the street! I saw pictures of that baby on WBIR. What is wrong with people????) |

| I read about this in the paper. I was appalled that the lady had been busted before and continues to do it. Terrible.

| I called the shelter and they did not even want to take my info for adoption. The reason is that the stupid lady is still the legal owner and the court has to grant custody to the shelter before they can be adopted and it is long process. They also said the fruitcake lady might possibly get the dogs back. I am just appalled at all of this mentioned in this thread. Ya, and the *&*#^ that dragged that poor innocent, helpless animal. I am praying for his eternal damnation!

| Tennessee Breeders This story is all to common lately here in Tennessee. The state of Tennessee is trying to pass more laws to protect the animals and make licensing required. Not all Tennessee Breeders are puppymills, some of us do truely care. Some Breeders are doing it right, but all should do it right. |

| You need to get on the phone with the states legal system...start a letter writing campaign to the judge who is trying the case. Call the American Humane Society to see what they can do to help or suggest to you. Find out what your laws are in the state. Calling animal control is not going to stop what is going to happen in the legal system. Call the newspaper and see if they can help..or give suggestions...You need statistics and talk with a level head...

| Call around to the rescue organizations to see if anyone is knowledgeable about these situations. Call Peta and see what they can advise you.
