Question What Is A Biewer and a Parti Yorkie?

I was wondering how a biewer and how a parti yorkie comes about? Are they also pure bred Yorkshire Terriers?

I just asked that question, and was told that he W is silent and there are two ways of acceptable pronunciations "beaver" and "be va" rhymes with "diva." The Germans don't have the W sound and since the breed started in Germany their pronunciations might be considered correct. Some Americans pronounce it bu – er with a long U. When people say "beaver" there are so many chuckles; I don't think it will catch on here, I like be-va the best.

I thought parti sounded like party, buy I don't know maybe its par-TAY. These words don't come up in my everyday language, just the written word.

There is also good information at Biewer Terrier Club of America as well as on my website about Biewers and their history.

Just like in the US, Germany has many dialects or accents. It is also pronounced bee vir in parts of Germany (so I have been told)

Toe May toe Toe Mah toe
