| I've made a HORRIBLE mistake Without going into all the details, we thought it was best and we rehomed Zoe (formerly Maxi). I wish that I could say there were health reasons or financial reasons that we chose this path, but it was more in thinking how Hot Rod was doing and feeling with another pup. I have made the HUGEST mistake in my life. I've even emailed her new mom begging her to let her return to us. This is the way it is to be. A lot of things were happening and timing was not the best to bring home a new pup. I had stopped the process a couple of times and I wish I would have listened to my gut. I haven't stopped crying since I last held her and kissed her goodbye. OMG, I am dying. I am on tranquilizers to be able to function. Has anyone got any ideas how to make this hurt stop? I don't know if I can get through this, I am actually have physical pains from this. Zoe is a beautiful little girl and she was just starting to settle down. She is only 12 weeks old, we got her @ 8 weeks. Hot Rod doesn't know what to think and he keeps sniffing around for his sister. I wish that this was a dream and I wake up from it.

| My heart breaks just reading this. Has the new owner gotten back to you yet? Even with human adoptions you can change your mind, I hope you get your little girl back.

| Oh your post broke my heart! There is no chance of her new owners letting you have her back? I know this doesn't help but time is the only thing to make you feel better. Maybe once you're feeling a little better looking at new puppies will help. Sending hugs!

My little Shadow Donating YT Member | Oh, I'm sorry that you are going through this. You were putting Hot Rod first & maybe it was for the best if this can't be changed. Go with your Heart and keep in touch with this person. You never know. We are all here for you!

| I am so sorry you having such a bad time of this. Remember you re-homed her for a reason. Whatever your reason was keep thinking about it. It's natural to go through this pain process and longing to want something you no longer have. My heart breaks for you but remember you did it for a reason. Perhaps in the future you can start with another when the time if better for you. Hugs, |

| Zoe's new owner has said that she is home with her. Her reply was very short and to the point, no discussion at all. I poured out my heart and wrote her a 3 page letter as to why I was at the point in my life that I was at...losing MIL, 2 cats within a year of each other and so on. I don't think that they is any room for negotiation.

| problem I am so sorry this has happened to you...but it is done and you will have to move on. We choose to be happy or depressed...we can not say, "when all is well in my life, THEN I will be happy"...because you know how life is...it may be fine for awhile, but something always hits the fan sooner or later... Treasure your memories of your puppy...get up each morning and decide to be happy, make the life of someone else better...go to the shelter and volunteer to walk dogs, find a shut-in who would enjoy a visit from you and Hot Rod, get involved in animal welfare and do it for the love of Zoe...best wishes PS...You may say I do not understand the pain in your heart and you have no control over it...BUT I do understand and when you take the focus off YOUR heartaches and concentrate on someone elses, your pain will lessen... |
