| Just Wondering I know there are several questions about yorkies ears standing up, and several suggestions on what to do. Here goes, my yorkie is will be 5 months old on 12/29 when I first got him at 14 weeks one of his ears stood up, a few days later neither were standing, a few day later the other ear was standing, for a couple of days both ears stood. I took him to the groomers (mainly to get him use to being groomed) she shoved his ears so far down. The ears would stand sometimes and sometimes they wouldn't. (After being shaved). I have read on YT about taping the ears, I have done that they stand for awhile and then they flop. I have noticed that lately they are flopping more than they are standing. My question is should I continue to tape and shave or does this seem like a normal thing and eventally the ears will stand? I will love him regardless of wheather the ears stand or not, but if I have a choice I prefer the ears standing. Has anyone else experienced this with their yorkie? |

| My Kalani's ears went up and down a LOT when he was teething - I never knew what he'd look like each morning when we woke up - LOL! I never had to do the taping thing but I always kept the hair trimmed and after he stopped teething his ears both went up and have been up ever since My Hoku on the other hand has floppy ears and even though I tried every trick in the book I could never get them to stand up

| Teething does have a lot to do with it and yours is in that stage. You can try massaging them from the base upwards to the tip, that helps quite a lot if they'll sit still for it...mine won't! Does your boy have thick ears even without the hair? I have 2 Biewer girls and they have thicker ears than my Yorkies so I'm going to start taping them today. |

| I was told teething had alot to do with it. His ears doesn't seem as thick as Layla's my other yorkie. I really hate putting the tape on his ears he doesn't seem to like that, he just wants to keep digging at them. I guess the real question here is am I giving them time to stand or do you think that I am trying to early? |
