Peeing in her crate! Need advice!! I am having problems with my little puppy. She is still urinating in her crate. How do i potty train her if she doesn't even hold it when shes in her crate? She does pee on her pad when I take her out but she doesn't poop on there. Does that make crate training a method that I can't even use to housebreak her? Any advice would really help. She doesn't cry or make any noises when she needs to go like my German Shepherd. He goes crazy when he needs to pee and we wait a little too long before we let him out.

Edit: Edit: Since her crate is the smallest possible crate for a dog up to 12 lbs I had to rig a puppy divider with cardboard to make it even smaller!! So I'm not giving her any room to pee on one side or sleep on the other. She only has enough room to sit, stand, turn around, and lay down. When she pees, she just kind of stands there. I don't know if she does this because she has seen me cleaning up after her when she soils everywhere. I thought the divider was doing it but now I think she just doesn't care. I would really like to start training her to potty outside but that won't happen for another 2 months until she is done with shots. I got her when she was 6 wks and she is now 10 wks. A whole month and still not any progress it seems. She knows I want her to pee on the pad and she does maybe 75% of the time but she still won't poo on there and when she does I pick up the poo and throw it in the toilet. Should I just pick up the whole pad and throw it away after she uses it once? I try to get her to use the pad a few times before I throw it out.

How often do you take her out of her crate? Since she's so young (and probably very small) she can't hold it in for too long.

I'm just wondering if crate training is going to be the best route for her since she doesn't mind peeing in her sleeping area. Doesn't that make crate training pointless? We keep her pad in the bathroom and her food and den completely separate from her "potty" area. | |

thanks! I really hope someone can help. I tried feeding her by her cage so she wouldn't want to pee and poo where she eats but she still had an accident today inside her crate.
