| CHLOE SHUT UP!!! Why does she cry at night??? Chloe has a crying problem at night. She whines like a baby as soon as the lights turn off. She gets over it after a while but its annoying. Shes always had this problem, and shes not in a crate shes on my bed. After I moved it went away but it has came back. Its very annoying since her crying keeps me up at least an hour before she calms down. |

| maybe a nightlight would help? no idea I have a bed in my room for Henry to sleep in but he prefers the bed in his playpen, sometimes he'll sleep in my room when I'm on the pc to keep an eye on me, but a small nightlight might help.

| I also put a nightlight in our room when we brought Cooper home. I think it helps him feel more comfortable. Cooper sleeps in a crate and he whines for a minute or so when I put him to bed. I just put my fingers in the crate until he stops. Do you place a hand on Chloe when she cries? |

| I don't have a nightlight in my room but I do put the t.v.'s timer on and by the time it goes off the pups are fast asleep

| ohhh my heart breaks when I hear the word shut up... to me it is a bad word .. I dont know why... I have cringed at people in the store telling their kids to shut up .... I cringe when I see it .. I sure hope you can find another word other than shut up to me it seems so mean.... I am not insinuating you said the "S" word nor am I saying you are mean I am just expressing how I feel when I hear that word.... also just put em in bed with you always works or a nightlight or music or a ticking clock Hugs Gently said Vic

Try putting her bed or crate in your bedroom with a small night light near her & a stuffed animal for her to curl up to. When I brought Stormy home she would always go straight to my closet & fall asleep ontop of my furry slippers. So I put her bed in the closet & placed a baby gate at the door opening so I could see her. She sleeps in my bed now with the other 3 now that she is older & potty trained.

Tink doesn't like the quiet right away when I put the light out. So, I have music playing on the radio for about 30 minutes for her. Takes her about 10 minutes to calm down but eventually she does. Of course I'm ancient so I put soothing, classical music on! | |

| Do you think Chloe is whining because she is afraid she will fall off of the bed? Maybe you need some doggy steps? Or put her bed on the floor next to you? My girls usually sleep with us but sometimes they like to sleep in their own bed where I have a night light plugged in for them. (usually hubby is snoring and I wish I could join them ) I have a big fleece blanket on the end of my bed that the girls curl up on or under depending on the temps that night, is she cold?

| Me too! I think Ssssshhhhuuuushhhh! is much nicer! I don't know why she would cry if she is sleeping with you? Is she a 'bigger' yorkie that can she jump on/off the bed ok by herself? my Pixie is only about 3lbs she cannot jump on/off furniture thats why she can't sleep with me...for her own safety.

| My Jager cries at night and he is in our bed, but that is b/c EVERY night he goes into our bed and a few minutes later startes crying b/c he wants to get down and is scared to jump in the dark, so my hubbie or I put him on the floor and he eats or plays for a minute or two and then hops back up into bed with us and is fine. But he does it every night. He has to cuddle in for a few mins and the whines to get down.

| When I brought Odie home I put a clock in his crate with a stuffy that was a bit bigger than he, he was fine and didn't cry. I just realized that when I got Odie he was only 6 weeks so he did very well. I hope that your baby does well Nicole and Odie London Ontario Canada |
