My friend and I went today to pick up her new female Yorkie and I was just devastated when we got there! She had all her Yorkie puppies on a front porch, it stunk so bad and was nasty dirty, she would not allow us to see the parents cause she said she had to leave, I asked if her husband could show us the pups and she said he didnt know what parents the pup belonged to, these pups have never been vet checked, she gave her own shots, one pup in the corner had a missing eye, another had a tumor growing on it's head, This pup only weighs 15 oz and it's the same size as the TY beanie baby Yorkie you get from Hallmark, I started asking her questions and she got a lil snippy with me and ran in the house saying she had to go and left us standing in her porch, I was just so sick to my stomach, I have never seen such a disgusting enviroment in my life! My friend had paid for the puppy un seen, The lady had promised her she could see the parents, but of course she wouldnt let us. She says it's AKC and it did have the papers.
We took the pup imediently to the vet and she said the pup sounded healthy, my friend has to take a pooh sample in to make sure it dont have any viruses, her heart sounded good, ears, mouth, she said to make sure she keeps eating and poo'ing, we bought some puppy nutrical.
The puppy stunk so bad and was so dirty, I was just disgusted you guys, this lady has to be turned in, but when I talked to the vet she said it's hard to get them shut down cause most puppy mills fly right under the rador, you have to prove so much to get them shut down, but something just has to be done, this is not right, how can people allow someone to come to there home and see this filth? I'm just sick to my stomach right now, she did give her a year garentee, but who knows.
$1000 for this is just so darn wrong!

So please, please be aware of Lois Hancock!!!!!

You dont know how bad I wanted to go to the police and take them with me and take them babies home with me! I'm sure they wouldnt have done that, but I just am so sick over this, thoose poor babies having to live out in a porch, I just want to cry!!!!!!!

oh my gosh!

i am sick to my stomach right there with you. i don't understand how these people treat these poor little babies like they aren't worth anything. I hope everything works out for your friend. there is nothing worse then wanting a baby so bad and then loosing it. I know, because we bought a puppy from a very reputable breeder. We had our beloved maxx for seven months . he was up to date on all his shots, i had him neurted and i spent alot of money keeping him healthy. my husband and i were on vacation out of the country and he became ill, my parents ran him to the vet, they did tests and x-rays and couldn't figure out what was wrong with him, sent him home and he died ten minutes later. my dad was giving him cpr.. so i know the ache of loosing a great baby. something needs to be done about this woman and her husband. they can't get away making a buck and giving out sick puppies.

How awful. I wonder if the local ASPCA can do anything or animal control. I hope your friends baby is fine and at least she saved one of these poor babies.

well I called Animal Control in that town and left a message for someone to get back with me and I contacted Breedersclub.net and spoke with a lady in hopes they can ban this woman from there site.

The pup was AKC, so i will contact American kennel Club and see what they say. It's sad that this crap goes on, I know it's not just in IN, but it's all over the world, but if I can at least help these babies, then I know I am doing the right thing.

I'm still sick to my stomach, but I know I will do all I can do, and I wont stop until I get answers!!

OMG one was missing an eye that is ridiculous. This lady needs to be shut done, fined, or maybe worse cuz that is animal cruelty. I feel sorry for those poor poor puppies.

Oh Missy,
I dont know what to say. Unfortunately there are bad breeders out there that can give other breeders a bad reputation. I know exactly how you feel. I ran into a situation very similar in southern Indiana where this lady had 80 + adult dogs, plus their puppies. All of the adult dogs lived outside all the time. They had doghouses but that was all for shelter. No heat, no airconditioning, no real shelter to keep them clean and dry and safe. I called the animal cruelty people on her and the humane society.Their house was a "pit" and the dogs were all filthy with stuff matted onto their hair. I wanted to rescue them all, but knew that wasnt the answer to putting this lady out of business and saving these dogs. Dont give up, keep calling and emailing. Write a letter to the editor of thier paper. Call the police to investigate it. Those poor poor babies. I know how caring you are and I am sure you didnt sleep a wink worried about these babies. Let me know what happens. I hope that Pennys puppy will be ok. Dont let your dogs or any other dog around it for at least 2 weeks just to be safe. You dont want them catching something from this one IF it has anything.

Jill, It's to late, I took Lillie with me when we went to get her puppy and she was around the puppy, the animal control called me this morning and they have 4 other cases from the lady and she told me all the other pups have died and they all had cociddia and distemper, Penny rushed the pup to the vet this moring with a stool sample so she is waiting, but jill what am I going to do about lillie, she was around this pup, omg jill, i'm crying right now what if my baby gets sick oh god i cant go through this again nooooooo, omg i should have known better then to take her with me god i'm so stupid why are there people out there like this i'm just so fricken sick right now
omg she has to be ok

the lady from animal control said it can be treated if caught early enough, but this pup only weighs 15 oz
i'm just so scared right now
lillie never came in direct contact with its pee or pooh, i dont think she ever licked it or anything

Missy,
Was Lillie ever on the ground there running around? Give her a bath asap and call your vet--explain the whole situation to your vet and see what they say. They may want you to bring her in to have a stool sample done or put on a preventive antibotic. Call your vet right now and let me know what they say. This makes me so mad that this breeder has had 4 pups die, one that doesnt have an eye and one that has a tumor on its head and she is so callous to clients and how she treats her animals. Thats terrible!!! She ne3ds shut down and never allowed to have animals on her property again. I so hate that Penny went ahead and purchased from her. I know how hard it is to walk away too though. I dont blame Penny, I just hope that her puppy is ok.

oh that's awful poor dogs how could someone let them run around missing and eye and have tumors? i would have most likely demanded my money back if she said no then i would call the police! if she saved her communications she could have proof of healthy akc promises and so on ! poor dogs shame on those people!

hopefully animal control will do something before all those puppys die!

I wouldn't have been able to give them one more dime in a situation like that. It just keeps them in business by knowing people will still buy their puppies even though they saw the awful conditions. I know you can't go back in time and what's done is done but hopefully some one will stand up to them in the future and let them know you cannot sell sick puppies! I pray your Lillie and your friends new puppy are ok. Especially your friends because if the others had distemper then the so-called "breeder" obviously lied about them having their vaccines. Poor babies Gosh I just get so ill when I read these kind of things. Thanks for putting this "person's" name out there. "Breeder" is too good of a word for her.

Does this person have a website or ads out there by any chance?

Penny rushed her baby Ellie to the vet this morning when I told her what animal control said, and she just called me and her little girl does have that Coccidia, the vet put her on a medication, and we are just praying that she will be ok.

I never put Lillie down at that nasty place!!! Penny (my friend) paid for Lillies stool sample, but I have to wait 2-3 weeks for it to show up if she would have it, I dont think she will, they never came in that sort of contact, I just pray everything will be fine!

You are right about what your vet said. If she was exposed...it would take a couple weeks for it to manifest in her system. The BEST thing to do is go ahead and start her on albon now. It will not hurt her to do this. Best of luck to you girlie, I know you are worried sick. Keep us informed on your friend's new baby. And thanks for letting people know about this cruddy "so called breeder". You've done good there regardless.

that stupid breeder called penny today and asked her why she turned her over to animal control? penny said she didnt, and the lady said, well then your friend did (talking about me) and I want to talk to her! She told Penny that it's common in dogs to carry Coccidia and she said the pup was on albon. Penny told her she was very disapoined in the situation.

So I called her when i got home and said I heard you wanted to speak to me, she said yea, why did you call animal control on me? I said beacuse your selling sick pups in a nasty dirty enviroment, she said well they didnt find anything, I said is that why penny's lil girl has Coccidia? She said SO! I said SO????? by this time I was kinda raising my voice at her ( I should have never called her, I should have just let animal control handle it, but I was steaming mad) I said, you meant o tell me you dont think there is nothing wrong with selling sick puppies to people and then them dieing? I said you are so disgusting you make me sick! She said well look at you! I said, ohh honey, don't you even dare compare me to you! and then she hung up on me, so I know I was stupid but I called her back, I said, what, you to coward to talk to me? then she hung up on me again, and like a more stupid person, I called her back the 3rd time, I said, I will make sure I do everything in my power to see you never breed again! she said, if you call me again I will call my lawyer, I said, yeah I'm sure you have a lawyer, cause all the sick puppies you have sold! then she hung up on me again and I didnt call her back this time lol

so I was over at Pennys house this evening and the winch calls penny! she said she wanted the name of her friend that keeps harassing her LOLOL Penny says, I'm not giving you her name lois, well she says, I called the police on her and they said I can file a complaint and I need her last name, Penny says no, I'm not giving you her name. then she goes on and on about how I'm going to shut her down and it was her b-day yesterday, and she says, Happy B-Day to me!
I told Penny, I would have said, well make sure you have a good B-Day spending my $1000 I gave you and now I'm racking up all these vet bills!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR who does this woman thinks she is?????? She wants me in jail for expressing my rights in animal crulity? But she can get away with treating animals like this?

I dont know what to think!
