In thinking about this, as a comparison I had two friends lose spouses less then a month ago and from the very beginning they sent texts and emails with info and thanks to people that helped them. With so much technology at one's finger tips it is easy to drop someone a quick message if you want to. I think most people are understanding about the fact that she might not have the time to make a smile box or complete packing a box but they do have trouble understanding the lack of communication.

Sorry this is hard on my iPad but I agree with the above. If my sis died ( which she recently did) mid GE. I would be SO SO late but also in constant contact...... But that is just me and my feelings about obligations. Also, I have computer and iPad and iPhone to back me up. Dawn's SB may be different although she is on Facebook and etsy and MySpace.

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | I heard from Riana, she messaged me twice last night. This first message was to let me know how sorry she was that is was so late and that she felt bad and embarrassed. That she didn't feel right opening Strudel's box until she had mailed Ruby's and that she would be mailing Ruby's box out today. The second was to say she saw this thread and now fears she will be banned. She thinks people think that she lied about the the accident and the funeral and offers proof when she sends Ruby's box. I see no harm in what Lisa did by starting this thread. It just goes to show you how this loving community of Yorkie lovers can ban together for one of its own. Having so many people show they care about us is a tremendous feeling! I just wish we could do the same for Riana right now. I think she's been through a lot and she could use our support. I think we need to show her that same kind of love that you all are showing for Ruby and myself and let her know that we are still thinking about her and make sure she and Strudel remain part of YT. I really hope that we haven't scared this girl off.

I am so very sorry for all you have been going thru. Please know that we all understand how devastating a loss is and that everyone grieves in their own way and should never be compared to how "I" grieve or whatnot. Hugs to Mr. Strudel!!! I hope you come back and post pics of that box he got and see pics of the box he sent Ruby Bella when she gets it and we all just revel in the sheer FUN of giving and making friends!!

Dawn- Thank you so much for posting this...this is exactly why I posted my last message. I had faith that Riana was going to follow through. She has been a member for a long time and it just didn't seem to fit with what we know of her. When life gets hectic for me...I tend to disappear until it becomes un-hectic. Everybody handles stress a different way and what might work for one doesn't work for another and neither is wrong. SB plus was not intended to hurt Riana and I hope she can look at it as a support for her and her SB until she was able to get her box ready. I've been there Riana...more then once...so totally understand! I hope Riana is getting back to herself and will be joining us again soon...and I would hope that we envelope her in the same warmth compassion and support we do with any YTer going through a rough time in their life! Besides the education I get from this forum, that love and support is what keeps me coming back to YT day after day!

| Thanks for updating Dawn. I was in no way trying to make Riana feel badly, I wasn't even aware that she was visiting this forum at all in recent days! We were merely looking out for a fellow GE participant. Thanks for taking the time to communicate with Dawn and reassuring all of us.

| yea glad you heard from Riana and that she will be coming through for you and Ruby. Riana I am very sorry for your loss, please don't let this keep you from coming back here, if the tables were turned we would be all rallying around you. We are all so happy to hear that you have contacted Dawn. Yorkie Talk is a supportive as well as a forgiving place so with some communication on your part things should be back on track in no time. I for one can not wait to see what was in Mr Strudel's box, he seems like such a unique pup and I am sure the box will be filled with stuff just for him. I think the biggest thrill for me was to see my buddies reaction to what was in the box I sent rather than what I received, so get that box open and have some fun with it, because I think you can probably use a smile or two right now.
