You guys are something else and I mean that in the best possible way. Reading all of your replies is making me very emotional and I am holding Lisa totally responsible for tears running down my face all afternoon. You all are so sweet and I appreciate all of your kind offers but really it isn't necessary. This GE was about Ruby and her feeling special when we find out who her SB was. It was to be about her getting a surprise from an unknown SB, well its no secret any more. Although all of your kind words and offers are greatly appreciated, please do not feel as if you have to do anything to make up for this one person who hasn't followed through with her obligations to Ruby and the GE rules.

I have to say I have been pretty upset that this had gone this far. I am unsure as to why Riana has not contacted me since her last pm with some explanation. Around the 27 -28th I sent her a PM titled "Spoil Alert". I was concerned and felt I had to reach out to her. I sent her a PM on or I wasn't to let her know I was concerned and that I was thinking about her and that there was a package waiting for her. She did reply to that message and she posted a thread dated 3-3-13 about receiving her box, her accident and a death in her family. At that time she was still out of town for a funeral. There has been some communication with her but, very little. Most of my PM's went unanswered. The ones that she did reply to, she assured me that she was in the process of putting together Ruby box and had every intention of sending it out. Since then there has been no public or private post from her.

In the last reply I sent to her that too went unanswered she told me that she felt guilty about opening Strudels box before sending Ruby's. I send her another PM that same day asking her to Please open the box. That everyone including myself was waiting to here from her and to see what was in the box. I told her not to worry about us that she needed some joy in her life and that I was happy to be the one to bring her some happiness and that I hoped that Strudel and she liked our gifts. I have gotten no further replies from her.

Now here we are, I cant imagine what she is going through and am saddened by the loss of her family member. I feel torn, but don't know what else I can do at this point. I feel like such an ass for making a fuss over something so silly when this person has lost so much in the process. But it has been almost ten days since I or anyone has heard from her.

I am trying to see the good in all of this that somewhere there is a lesson to be learned. I still have hope that Riana will do the right thing. That she will send Ruby's box. That it will all work out in the end and will be worth the wait. But if not, I can honestly say that at this point that I'm ok with that. Thanks to all of you, It took me seeing and reading this and knowing what special, kind hearted and thoughtful people you all are to make me realize that its not about the money. Which sadly has been a big part of why this was so upsetting to me. I know now that its about the gift of giving. You all have shined a light on my heart and put a smile on my face that will last a life time. I just hope that I was able to put a "Smile" on someone else's face and make a pup feel special in the same way you all have done.

You all are a great group of people and I love you all. Thank you so very much for helping me understand what is important. Dont' worry I will not let this experience stop me from joining in another GE.

I made smile boxes for all the gifts.. did my best to make sure every person knew how much I appreciated and loved each gift. Then a few weeks later I did get "the box".. I felt horrible like I had done something wrong. So after much thought this is my advice

Our wanting give you a ge experence is our choice. That is who we are. None of us want any harm to go to your sb, and none of us truly knows what we would do if we were in her shoes now. I really hope it works out and I really hope all the work you put into her box will be seen soon in pictures from her. What happens in regards to her membership is up to admin. If she reached out to us we would all rally around her as much as we are rallying around you.. that is who we are!

That is such an amazing story and a great example of the kind hearted people that we surround ourselves with when we come here to YT. I am so sorry that that happened to you. I guess there is always that risk of the unknown and the chance that it could happen when we deal with people that we dont know.

I realize that I am dealing with so many wonderful people from the GE and others outside of the GE. Nothing I say will stop them from spoiling my Ruby. As you can see and know first hand from your own experience. My fear is that the same thing with the box coming after everyone went out of their way and rallied together in order to give Ruby a special GE experience. You cant imagine how devastated I would be if that happened.

I don't know about how every one else feels but..I feel like members of YT are becoming a part of my network of family and friends. I am finding I can't wait to get home from work to see who has posted and what they have posted about. I also find this is a place I am going to when I need advice beyond yorkies and when I just need to vent. I feel bad for Dawn for how things have happened and it would make me feel better knowing we have done something to put a smile on her face. Likewise I feel horrible for Riana losing her grandmother and because the car accident ...how awful. Hopefully Riana when she is done grieving comes back to YT and we can support her too through this rough time in her life. Like Dawn I believe Riana will follow through. In the meantime, what I can do is support Dawn and at least help one of the two smile.

Shinja - this is so well said. I am glad I have come back to YT (been a member a while, left for a few months or more and have been back for a few months). This GE is my first and I made a bunch of new friends! I am so glad that I participated and I believe there are tons of angels here at YT that will help Ruby Bella feel extra special along with Dawn.
