It was wooden and made by my great grandfather. As a child I used to love to lay underneath the quilt as it was up on that quilt holding thingy and watch the designs take place as they quilted.

Aymee, my daughter (who is about your age) did the same thing. Her favorite place to be was underneath my mother's quilting frames.

I enjoy all sewing, but there is a such great feeling of accomplishment when you finish a quilt. It is worth every stitch. You will love it.
