| Converted Onsies For those who like to convert onsies into cute t-shirts and dresses...Walmart has some really cute Garanimal onsies right now. I picked up three yesterday and made a cute little t-shirt dress from one of them. It took about 15 minutes to alter and make the little skirt for the dress. These are only 3.88 each The designs are not stamped on either, they are actually embroidered on and so vibrant and colorful!! 20121229202749 (300x400).jpg 20121229202822 (300x400).jpg

| It is really very simple, cut off the bottom of the onsie and then take up the excess from the underside (imagine the pins are your seam) then hem the bottom and for the ruffle, I just made a simple pleated skirt and added it to the bottom. I purchased newborn size onsies because they didn't have preemie. That is why I had to take so much off the underneath part (or back of the onsie) 1228121936-00 (400x300).jpg 1228121939-00 (400x300).jpg

YT 2000 Club Member | This is an awesome idea! So does the heart part go on the back or the top side of the pup? Sorry about the weird question!

| That seems so easy! Practicing my hemming so soon enough I should be able to make these. Can't wait!

| Yeah it would be opposite to the way a baby would wear it. The design is worn on the furbaby's back.

YT 2000 Club Member | How wide is the ruffle or skirt? Does it go all the way around the onsies?

| I think the ruffle is about 21/4" total including the allowance for sewing it to the onsie and the skirt doesn't go all the way around, it is just from one side seam of the onsie to the other.

| Thanks Sarah!! We are all about comfort here. Jada wears clothes every day and the soft shirts and soft sweaters are her favorites.

| I'm not very talented, but this I am going to try. Mrs. Beasley would rather wear a t-shirt dress as to one that has Velcro on it.

YT 2000 Club Member | Thank you and sorry about all the questions. I am going to give this a try as I think they are super adorable and inexpensive to make. My Teeka will have so many dresses when I am done! I might even make some for the dolls for my grandchildren, using premie onsies!
