| I cannot imagine banning people from a forum just because they sell things.

Hummm, I said thread NOT post! You entirely misunderstood my POST! I was referring to Ann's statement about questions she had fielded several months ago regarding threads. I was not aware of these threads, I was busily trying to recover from major surgery. In fact I went back through the Fashion Forum and looked for threads that may have been overtly marketing, and found a few. It simply doesn't matter to me who complains about what. I would like to think that most people who complain have a genuine complaint about the thread/post, but I do know that some complain simply because they don't like the poster and want to cause conflict.I have been on YT long enough to understand that there are many personality quirks and conflicts and my comments directed towards Ann's post simply reflected that personality conflicts can and do influence how people post. To set the record straight, I have used the little triangle button to report THREADS and POSTS that were specifically for marketing a product that were posted outside of the "Selling Forums". ![]() I am going to refrain from posting pictures in this forum - and limit my forays here to sightseeing Last edited by chattiesmom; 06-21-2012 at 09:14 AM.

If I misunderstood you, I apologize. I think you should post pics in this forum since it seems it is open season now! No reason to sightsee! Have at it I say! Here Here!

I try to avoid conflict at all costs and do my absolute best to follow YT rules. I see that this may become a "hot spot", so I'll stick to what I feel is best for me. ps...I agree with you that anything posted here can result as a request for a custom made item, so if I post a picture here it could be considered subtle advertising. Last edited by chattiesmom; 06-21-2012 at 09:26 AM. Reason: adding a ps...

| YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Well that was interesting. I kind (of) new we had a fashion forum, as I pass it by on my way further down the list. I don't think I've ever visited it. LOL. I just thought it was for neat ideas people had, or things that they had seen, or pics of their pups all dressed up in the "latest" clothing YOrkie craze' which I really don't know too much about. Now if you had a Working Gear, Gadgets, Harnesses, Protective Clothing, INteractive toy forum; I'd be a visiting:-) I'm particularly interested in that bug repellent gizmo you put on your belt.... I know from other threads in other places, we have a whole lot of talented ladies on board, and I've certainly enjoyed seeing pics of their Yorkies in My Yorkie Pics, or videos etc.

| Haha! Not banning... just like if I am not selling anything I wouldn't be posting in the seller's forum, other than to say I like something...

| Yes but then some people might forget about PMs and just post in the thread... Personally, I don't look in the For Sale forum bc I never intend to buy anything... if I did I would go there more often. I don't mind seeing new dresses and stuff in the FF posted by everyone/anyone. I look at stuff in the fashion forum differently, more like art than something for sale in a shop... weird I know... Why was the Fashion forum created anyway? I'm glad it was. Lol. Easier to see clothing on pups all in one place....

And Lady Jane, I wish you would post any fashions you have done or are thinking of doing here because I would love to see and even buy your stuff, and would probably miss it otherwise, I still think Yorkie rescues that have all their profits go to their organization should post stuff for sale for free or not be restricted to somewhere that a potential customer that is really not in the market for something might miss it, because there is no one I would rather buy from or support. Come on guys, Kathy and I can't be the only ones that bought on impulse when not technically shopping

| I don't think that YHR should have any special priveleges with regards to selling. YT has been very good to rescue and I honestly don't feel there are any uncalled for restrictions. We have a website and we can post that on here....It is often my error in not posting some of the things. Just not enough time in a day.

As a vendor on YT, I feel that there is a venue for selling, the For Sale Forum; there are rules to follow. Yes, the Sellers Review and Feedback Forum is another venue for the seller to possibly get new customers as you can make a comment in those threads, however, I don't recall ever seeing this abused. As for showing fashions that our babies wear, I kinda thought that was what the Pictures and Videos forums were for. There is nothing wrong with showing the fashions in the Fashion Forum, but as highlighted above, this is the problem. I say that the Fashion Forum be limited to only showing fashions that are made for only one's own dogs, not for commercial purposes. For those who may not be aware of the rules in the For Sale Forum, a seller is limited 2 threads a week as well as they are only allowed 1 bump in the thread. Sellers can only respond specifically to a question posed in the thread and may not have people "bump" their threads for them. One solution might be that if someone wanted to solict something from someone, maybe the seller should be required to have a For Sale Thread in the For Sale Forum that the customer is referred to. This might alleviate a lot of the gray lines. There is no way to ever stop or police all the backdoor selling. If sellers all have the same rules and policies to abide by, then this should help level the selling field to a point. I don't know if this is feasible or not but I think it would help to keep the forums from getting muddled.
