I dont put a regular hem in Mina's nighties. I open a side seam a little and add 2" wide knit trim/1/4" to 1/2" seam,then I close the side seam. I purchase the knit at JoAnns but you can use fabric from an old tshirt. I usually use a contrasting color.

I make these for my two boys all the time. People were always asking my why I bought baby clothes and when I told them what I did with them they laughed. Everyone thought I was crazy. It's hard to find cute, small boys clothes though so this worked out well for me. Im glad to see someone else does this too!!

Wow love it thank you DvlshAngel985 so much for the photos and the step by stem instructions. I love how you put the one that fits over the new one to use as a template. I cant wait to give it a try.

Aww. No problem dawn. I have 0 sewing knowledge. If I can do this and make it look wearable, ANYONE can.
