| Ok, I have to share cause I whined enough about trying to make them They are far from perfect but they are my very first try at them and even though I did them backwards they fit ok. I think I might take the sides in some on the next set I try. Do y'all take the sides in so they aren't so baggy? The girls have their nite-nite hair bands in so sorry they aren't very glam but they are comfy IMG_7418.jpg IMG_7415.jpg

You could take the sides in. I usually take about an inch section right down the middle of the tummy and sew it. | |

| I think you did a fine job! I do take mine up on the tummy, they seem to bag there. After I take the tummy up I topstitch the seam down so it doesn't rub my babies tummy and it is a cleaner finish. |

| Okay I am excited about this thread and I have to look at it again later (consentrate) cause I have messed with the preemie shirts and some dresses but did not think about using one of their shirts to do the cutting which I always mess that part up. I buy the shirts from a second hand store. The ones I get look like they have never been worn. Never pay over $1.00. I also used the wonder under or the thread less heming stuff.(which I goofed on that too) This morning Jack and Josie wore one of the shirts to the daycare cause it was kinda of cool here this morning. Jack's has got to be hemmed cause he pee-pee on it. LOL Josie's was perfect fit. But these were the preemie NB shirts. The regular NB shirts will have to be hemed and I am so glad for the instructions. And never thought of the adding the buttons. Also, bought a preemie sweater for Jack last year. Fit him very good. Its a zip up so I put the zip part on his back. It is red and looks really good against his color. A camo zip up little lite jacket too. Thanks. |

| try the goodwill store or yard sales. i buy used baby blankets and fold them into 1/4 sew all the way around and you have a nice 'bed" for your babies. easy to wash too. can be used in their crate or just put on the sofa for them to lay on. Or just put it on the floor. works great. if you get the thicker onies you can cut the snaps off with pinking shears no sewing or heming required !! good luck everyone. |

| I did my first two for Jack. Turned out pretty good for a newbie. One was brown with a little green gator on front which I use that for the back, I was so excited I sewed a itty bitty green button on it. The other was brown also, with puppies on the front. The puppies were in blue and red and I found a itty red button sewed it on. Too cute. I will post my pix. |

| Thanks, he wore the one with the green gator to the daycare today and everyone ooh and aahh him. He has one young girl (20 ish)there that loves him. Josie didn't care she had on her "princess" shirt it was a preemie NB so I didn't have to do anything to it. |
