Maximo is a very aggressive male. He has never bitten anyone however his aggression is high. I have tried classes redirecting etc Maximo is a one person dog not a family dog. He will die to protect me however my other family members do not go near him. He growls and gets very aggressive. He is a Yorkietalk puppy, I have had him at the vet and no answers. This aggression did not begin to surface until he was coming into maturity. I will not choose between my daughter and maximo. I know I will be entertaining a lot of questions. One he cannot be around another male I have seen his violence he will fight no it has nothing to do with a female in heat. He has never attacked female dogs he is quite submissive not good around little puppies No children. My daughter was bitten in September by my neighbors pit bull spent 3 days in the hospital and had to go through the whole thing of shots. Yes I did contact the breeder and tell her of his aggression issues and to be careful if she saw this in the other litter mates. I would love for him to go back south that is where I drove 19 hours to get him. It is cold here. I look at him and I think he just wants to run and be free. Can we find him a home. The breeder told me that if for any reason I did not want him to please return him to her, she politely told me good luck finding him a home. I owe him a good home.

Why don't you just return him to the breeder if she's willing to take him back? Can't some sort of transportation be arranged?

I think the breeder told her that but when she tried to return him the breeder said thanks but no thanks and good luck. (at least that's how I read it) bad form.

Poor baby. I am in tears looking at his sad little face. It always breaks my heart to hear that a puppy has gotten aggresive for whatever reason because it usually means that people give up on them and often they end up being put down.

Here's just alittle something I noticed with my own dogs.

When I got my Maltese she was tiny and my kids were young. I couldn't trust them around her and kept them away from her. I took care of all her needs and didn't let anyone else. I noticed as she grew that she definately followed my lead and didn't want anything to do with the rest of the family nor did she want any of them to have anything to do with me. She never snapped at them but would growl and jump on me if the kids came near. She didn't like them and she didn't want me to like them either! I know I created this myself but then didn't know what to do to undo my mistake in her raising. She finally went to live with my grandmother after her baby died. My grandmother desperately needed some company and Sadie desperately needed to be the one and only. Everyone was happy in the end but it is a mistake I will not make again.

When I got Teddy I did not forget and this time my kids were older so easier to trust with him. I just would watch and make sure they were always handling him correctly. I take care of his major care like bathing and feeding and he is definately my boy but he spends plenty of time with the kids and everyone takes part in his care. His personality couldn't be more different than Sadie's. He loves everyone (I think because everyone has loved him).

I really don't have any idea if it has that much to do with the way I raised them or not, it was just my take on why Sadie was the way she was and the difference in how they were raised seems to show through.

I'm not at all saying that this is the case with your little one, I just thought his personality sounded so much like my Sadie's so thought I would share.

I really pray he can find a home where he can one mommy to love and protect.

Kim

Poor little guy. He's so young and looks so very sad! Why?
I do hope you can find him a forever home.
I am not trying to be out of line but have you spent alot of time
with him in training over the months that you have had him?
I have found out that these little ones want what they want and
can get aggressive if they are not put in their place. I went through
it a couple of times but for the most part Buddy is loving. Is he loving
at all? I don't think I have ever seen such a sad little face.
Good luck. I know it must be very hard to rehome him.

I am so sorry about your situation.

I really hope he finds a great home too. You know it probably will be a little harder given that he is "aggressive", doesn't do well with children with pets etc.

Maybe you should try re-homing to an excellent home but not selling him. I know it's $ lost but maybe consider lowering his price so the new owner can pay for more training and neutering etc.

As this little boy is only 16 months im sure his issues could be resolved if he is rehomed to a dog savvy household. He sure is a little cutie and i hope someone can give him the love and home he deserves.
