Male Yorkie must be rehomed

I have read through all the posts that I have missed out on that last few days.. So am I reading this right? Maximo still hasn't found a home because of the price being so high?
This is ridiculous!
What is she doing with him right now? Does she have him confined to a room or crate? How is she dealing with his aggressiveness as we speak?
To the owner:
I'm not trying to be rude... but seriously, that price is way too high. It's going to take alot of money for the new owner to care for him the right way. I personally think if you actually cared for his well-being you would let him go to someone you know who would make this dog's life a well lived one.

I have also read through all of these posts and for the most part everyone
only wants this sad little Yorkie in a loving home where he will get the
training and love he deserves.

Reason why this is not happening is the owner wants double what she
paid for him. He needs to be neutered and trained to help with his
aggression. Owner purchased him not knowing he would become
aggressive. When we purchase a puppy we know we have to feed it, buy toys for it and give it medical care. That's the package and we do it gladly. I do not think these costs should even be considered to get refunded! IMO if she loves him she would recoup her original price back
and thank the new owner with all her heart for taking him, having him
neutered and putting him through aggressive training with a qualified trainer!
Also, owner should pray that it works!

I wouldn't make money the issue. The money for him has already been spent so put it behind you. The issue here is his future welfare. It it was me and I found the absolute ideal home for him I would let him go for free with the understanding that he must be given back to me if it doesn't work out. I think there are several reasons why he might be aggressive, maybe that's his way of getting attention. But I agree that he does look sad..

I think if you buy a puppy, you are making a life long commitment to that animal. You do not adopt a child and then decide there is just no room in your life for that child anymore. This is so wrong.
People need to follow through on their commitments and nobody takes this seriously anymore.
Again, I know there are some circumstances where a dog cannot be kept, but come on people, do what needs to be done and take care of your animals!
I would never give up one of my dogs, I truly cannot imagine any circumstance where that would occur, they are my children.

I couldn't agree with you more. I think it's disgusting that people come here and can so easily just sell their poor babies. They will come here and say "oh you don't know how hard this is for me, or he's like my child" but clearly that is not the case. This is why I commend breeders for all of your hard work in investigating and asking the right questions. If the breeder in this situation had maybe asked the right questions, they wouldn't have sold the poor baby to someone who wants to not only sell him for MORE than what she bought him for, but really doesn't care to put time and effort into him. Animals are animals and if not trained properly will crap and piss everywhere and may also be aggressive. I'm assuming his environment may be the reason he's aggressive. So sad for this poor baby. He deserves to be happy, but obviously money is more important to this person. It's disgusting.

I would if I could. Lucky is "my baby" even if he is 9 and only male in my pet pack. I also have two cats who can protect themselves. If you get my drift. Cozy my yorkie would love a her sized playmate but it would not be fair to Lucky who is a submissive personality. Major weenie dog. He is a lover not a fighter. Wish I could help. Good luck.

I sincerely hope this little guy has found a more suitable home by now. I do want to add that although I think the asking price is a little high given his age and temperament its not that bad. Probably $500 or maybe $600 would be about right. What the current owner paid for him is really irrelevant. She also had travel expenses and vet expense on top of the $$ paid to the breeder. I only mention that to show that she could well be asking what in her mind she actually paid to get him. Again, its a bit high but he is a little guy that is intact and old enough to breed so right or wrong his price is within reason. Now before you jump my case about he shouldnt be bred and yada yada yada yada I am not saying he should be used to breed either - only that he is within the market price for one that could be.

I personally don't care what she actually "paid to get him". The fact of the matter is that whomever purchases him is doing HER a favor by taking an aggressive dog off her hands, neuter him, willingly putting effort into retraining him and giving him a good life WHICH HE DESERVES. To charge someone twice what she paid in order to save her the trouble is more than she should expect. If she cared about this dog AT ALL, under the circumstances, she would AT THE MOST charge what she paid for him...Anything else is simply taking advantage of whomever takes on this challenge.
