the ytca warns against tiny yorkies and their health problems. yes there are healthy ones but you never know until you get one if it will be healthy or not. this warning is there b/c there are more of a health risk than not.

Gracie, 9lbs has mild LP and reverse sneezing Spike, 4 lbs perfectly healthy Sugar 2.7 lbs has never had one single health issue My mom has 2 yorkies Alfie, 6 lbs severe reverse sneezing and probably developing LP Sophie, 3 lbs perfectly healthy I don't see our little yorkies health as an exception to the rule. They prove the rule that responsible, respected breeders produce healthy dogs even though occasionally some pups turn out smaller than expected. I know that there are plenty of irresponsible breeders breeding strictly for tinies and not health- surprise! Unhealthy puppies. That is just absolutely not the case with all little yorkies.

Thank you! I loved your reply I also love how she put that you wouldn't want a 90 lb. adult human?? That cracks me up. I just happen to weigh around 95 lbs. and I'm 25 yrs old!! However, I'm only 5'1 and small framed. I don't look like a stick and I'm completely healthy. My weight according to my doctor is just right for my height and frame but I guess to this person I was breed wrong, LOL. My entire family is small so we must all be rejects. Just cracks me up that people make comments like that.

| Woah so I guess nobody will want my 85 lb a$$. exept hubby It seems the people with the larger yorkies are always the ones to give the tiny ones a bad rep. and to give even a harder time on the ones wanting to own a tiny. I have heard good and bad things on both sizes so lets not just focus on the tiny ones being unhealthy but focus on appreciating them and there owners that care for them. Mimi |
