| When seeking a small male, it does not mean breeding with a very small female. A small male can breed with a reasonable sized female just fine. |

| I am SO sick of hearing "what has to be the perfect yorkie". Ears too big--throw it out; nose too long--throw it out; coat not to YOUR satisfaction(i.e. silk vs. cotton)--throw it out; not the so called teddy bear look--throw it out; not the exact right size--throw it out; not a cobby body--throw it out; legs, etc etc etc. If you're breeding for show, then do what you have to do; if not, it doesn't mean that the yorkie with the too big ears and nose and coat that are "not just right" or the right size or cobby body, isn't a wonderful companion or a beautiful dog. You have all talked about "throw backs"---well geeze, where do you think that came from, even in the showing breed! It's GENES!!! If the world would be like Hitler wanted it, what would we all be?? If you're not up to the standard---throw you out?! Sound reasonable?? NOT to me! Don't get me wrong, I don't breed just any dogs, but this "perfection" thing is nuts! Now THROW ME OUT if you so desire! |
